Thumbs up 03 Osiris Tune Results

Had a chance to get my car down to Function Tuned (Thanks Dave) and get my Osiris/Uprev tuned. Car is an 03 6mt w/87,000 miles.

Mods:
JWT Pop
MD 5/16" Spacer
UR pulley
Kinetix TP's
TurboXS Exhaust
Osiris Uprev

I had ordered the Osiris Std with the original intention of just doing e-tunes, but decided to just get it dyno tuned instead of getting and installing an afr gauge/logger.

Results:
03 Osiris Tune Results-dyno-1.jpg

Dyno was a Dyno Dynamics (heartbreaker dyno). TQ isn't shown but was nearly equal in gains with a final number about 235-237. There is a solid 5whp gain from about 3000 to 5000 and from 5000-6500 the gains are about 7-9whp. It should aslo be noted that the intial dyno was NOT with stock ecu. I had already flashed the car with the base-map from UPREV.

The real gains were in driveability. Dave was able to pick up massive power in partial throttle and diagnose/fix a problem I was having with keeping idle.

After I got home, I went over to a local shop that has a dynojet for easier comparison. Results were 272.9/258.7. I left the print out over there, but I will pick it up tomorrow and edit the post with it. I feel that dyno may read a bit high, but still it is close to most/all dynojets.

Overall I am extremely happy with results and definantly recomend Dave at Function Tuned in Dulles, VA and Osiris.

FunctionTuned FTW

Were those 4th gear or 5th gear runs?

I was in almost the exact same situation as you, but with slightly different mods. I went down and got my car dyno tuned by the guys at Uprev and gained over 16whp at 6600rpm over the base tune (not stock) map. Great stuff.

I didn't......it was less expensive to just get it dyno-tuned then purchase a wideband and install (I'm not very mechanically inclined).

Pulls were made in 5th gear.

Very nice. Many people that buy the Osiris Standard have been going into our Pro Tuners lately and proving that a dyno tune really is the best bang for the buck, which is what we've been saying all along. Luckily now we have a number of new Pro Tuners for customers to get to.

Nice numbers though, Dave is an excellent tuner. And I guess the upside is that you still get Cipher to use for data logging and figuring out any problems that may arise.

I am seriously considering an Osiris tune -- will most likely have to go eTune, since no pro tuners are close to me (I live in the Detroit, MI area). Just to be clear -- do I need a wideband o2 sensor for the eTune? I did not think so?

I have a 2005 Touring -- so, I guess I do NOT need a wideband. Thanks!

I was at a local shop messing around with cipher and wow its amazing. Mine is a 05 (reads air/fuel ratio) also and it updates everything going on with your car realtime. The feature I like is you can save everything into a csv file and go back and analyze closely what your car is doing. Im sold on Uprev products so I got a Osiris dyno tune the same day.

Is there a way to calculate the difference between 4th and 5th gear numbers? The dynos from my tuning session were all 4th gear. I don't want to post any numbers other than the gains (which, are more important anyway) until I can get 5th gear results.
