Uprev tune...high flow cats first???
I have a K&N Typhoon cai, the kinetix V+ plenum, and the HKS knockoff exhaust. I'm wanting to a tune from Uprev...ive read that i could be looking at a good 25-30 horses after the tune. But what i was wondering is what kind of difference would high flow cats make on my setup? Ive been considering them for quite some time. would they be worth the money before the tune? These will be the only performance upgrades i will be doing to the car for quite some time.
Any input would be appreciated

ok thanks for quick answers! ive searched...and there is so much debate on HFC's. Which brand would you recommend? And is it a better idea than resonated pipes? I dont mind it a bit louder...I just don't want that drone at high speeds.

For NA applications, testpipes & HFC's end up with about the same power output.
Testpipes = cheaper
HFC's = more $ but quieter and no burn marks on your rear bumper cover
If you choose testpipes, resonated or not, you will hear it drone on the highway.
Fast Intentions and Berk seem to be good choices for HFC's. I've had the FI's and they were fine, but a bit pricey.
And good choice with UpRev.

If you drive on the street, high-flow cats will probably be ok. If you drive fairly aggressively on the track, I would (and did) go with test pipes.

I first got CrawfordZ high-flow cats, and blew them out. Then I went with Berk high-flow cats, and I got the metallic ones so they would last on the track. Unfortunately, they didn't last on the track, they blew out. (whole thread here), so I ended up getting kinetix resonated test pipes. The sound of these test pipes is as good or better than the high-flow cats, to me.
