Depending on what your goals are with all the parts you have you could look into a Vortech Supercharger.

^^ that is also another option. However SC only get you just under 400 and I'd like to use my stock block for now and push 450 at the very least. There are a few members pushing 479 on stock blocks.

Anything over 400 would be pushing it but if you want more than that then your looking at TT.There are people out that that are over 450 but I wouldnt feel safe pushing it thats just me.There are people out there that have a SC with over 400 to the ground.

supercharger will only get u under 400whp? huh i must be extremely lucky then

i have a vortch kit on stock block and i am at 420whp/355ft lbs. and only at 9.5 psi on the 3.12 pulley and just some breathing mods, i could drop to the 2.87 pulley if i wanted and be at around 12psi and be at all of 450whp with just that...I think u have alot of research to do there are many people on here making great numbers with vortech kits

stock block doesnt like much more than 420whp to actually be reliable

thanks for the help meng. I've been lurking the "engine" vendor sections for a TT kit and reading lots about different kits with different set ups. I found a thread dedicated to FIed guys on stock motors. That got my attention, I read of a member on stock block pushing 469 at 10 or 12 psi - I was like it may be possible so I'm doing more reading before making a decision.
don't look at that and think it is realistic for any sustainable amount of time. sure it can be done, but if you drive your car remotely hard, you are rolling the dice.

If you plan on stock block, shoot for about 400 hp and keep the torque at around 375-380. This is still a blast to drive. If you want more than that, you will really want to consider a build..... and running the higher HP on stock block and throwing a rod will end up costing you a lot more in the long run. You will be paying for a core and will potentially have to go through the turbos and any other components that would be damaged blowing a motor

op is going about this all wrong thinking he can run those numbers on a stock block safely because a few people have pushed it that far..yes it can be done but who cares if it runs for a thousand miles then pops...It is proven and proven again op to stay around 400-420whp and 350-375 ft. lbs. to be safeas can be and reliable on stock block

ya my vortech was 460/405 on a dynodynamics (so ~495/450 on a dynojet) on a stock block.

But my car was only really just driven to the drag strip on thursday night test and tunes.

right on guys! thank you so much for the helpful input. It has helped me a whole lot to say the least. I know throwing the dice isn't a good thing for anyone and I wouldn't do it just because others are doing it. I just said that as a reference point.

I forgot to ask, does the vortech kit sound exactly the same as any other TT kit? In other words I've been in and around TT but I have never been or heard a SC Z.

well

What is your budget for parts/install/tune.

Are you planning to ever build the motor? Power goals? Would you want a linear power curve or do you wants lots of torque?
