I have Osiris and 4.08 gears (with a Quaife, as someone else suggested) and the cruise control on my 6MT works fine.

 

the cruise will not work on an auto car when you do gears - no idea if the stalk still retains functionality (can't see why it wouldnt but, best to contact uprev)

on a manual car, cruise works just as before

 

I have a 2003 G35 Coupe 6MT. I went from the stock 3.6 gears to a 3.9 and my cruise worked fine. However, when I was using Osiris tuner the cruise control did not work anymore. Now that I am flashed back to stock, it works again. Jared wanted me to try a different ROM but I don't really want to flash it again. Never tried the map switching so I can't comment on that.

 

all you people wanting 3.5 gears let me know if you want them out of my 2003 g35 6mt. 78k miles and i run redline oils in it.

i will need a 3.3 without a doubt on my new turbo setup.

 

called uprev and left a voicemail. will let ya know what uprev thinks.

 

I swapped my 3.3 for a 3.5, both with stock vlsd - No CC problems whatsoever
1 week later tuned with Osiris (3 maps) and CC still works perfect.

 

you give me hope. : )

 

come on midwesterners....someone has to want my 3.5 vlsd

 

More info please. I'm confused how all of us 5AT owners that go from 3.3 to a higher FD have CC fail on us, yet you didn't. I want to be full of hope but somehow I feel that I will be let down when you reply.
Did you swap pumpkins w/ a MT's?

 

i spoke with one of my buddies about this yesterday. he drives a 2005 5AT G35 and swapped from 3.3 to 3.5. his cruise control still works, but only up to ~95mph. the plot thickens...

 

You guys cruise control @ 95MPH? lol.

 

i think it breaks at different speeds for different gears for auto folks.. only time will tell.

The swap was done by a local friend of mine, who's also on this site. The 3.5 fd came from an 06 6mt with around 30k miles and stock VLSD. I wish I could tell you more, but I wasn't present during the install, however, he told me it just bolted on perfectly and everything still worked fine. I drove the car and it felt great. I tested the cruise controls and they worked fine at 35mph up to 75mph. Remember this was done BEFORE my car was tuned with Osiris. After the tune CC still worked and so far have had no issues whatsoever.

 

Do you have a Z or G?


The CC functionality only applies to the 5AT G coupe.


I had the 3.9 FD, Osiris (I had Osiris before the gear swap), and a bunch of NA boltons on my old 5AT G coupe and I was able to switch maps fine . The only thing you will experience if you go higher than 3.7 is that if you turn on the CC the CC light will blink & not work.

I have a 2004.5 5at 350z, a local G35 6mt and I swapped pumpkins/diffs. going from 3.3 to 3.5 fd did not break my CC, only tested up to 70mph. can still swap maps.

uprev never got back to me .. but there you go. I am inclined to agree with Frosty that this only happens to G owners :]

I can only imagine what 3.7 or 3.9s would feel like, but if any other auto z's have the opportunity, the 3.5 is a worthy upgrade. glad I did it.

 

ive never heard of people losing cc except for going from 3.53 (stock 6 speed) to a 3.3 (stock auto) when doing high boost applications. i cant hit cc in 6th gear with my 3.3 setup
