Default Utec and Jeffsoftware questions

I have searched many threads in this forum and others in the Suby Utec forums. Today I found a few things and need someone who can help?

Using the Utec and Tunerpro in hyperterminal and Jeffsoftware GUI.
Have the VW Bung in the exhaust and have richened up the maps I'm running.
Hooked up the db9 to the front of the tuner pro and the utec to another db9 all connected with the same usb cable. Also tried it just into the utec and into the tuner pro.

Here's the first problem.
The tuner pro is displaying the correct A/F but, the Jeffsoftware GUI is not displaying the correct numbers in real time? How do I get the Jeffsoftware to show the A/F? I know it was a known issue with the Jeffsoftware displaying the A/F in the Gui and usually just reads 14.7. However in the second screen shot the A/F does show in Lambda numbers and seems to show the correct readings. They change if I step on the gas.
First image showing A/F at 9 (usualy says 14.7)

Here is the Lambda numbers they seem to work in real time.

It seems like the tuner is not giving the utec the a/f reading and maybe that is why the jeffsoftware doesn't display it. But the Lambda is showing correct.
Anyone know of a fix or do I need a software bug fix from jeffsoftware?

The second problem I was having is map 2 and map 4 are not showing that they can be used in the Dashboard even if I set it on the remote map switch.
anytime I set the map to map 2 the dashboard in hyperterminal says it is not map 2. I did have a checksome error on that map when we tried to load it.
Did I corrupt something in the utec? Or the actual map. Tried to fix it and it says it took the map but it keeps skipping map 2 and 4.
Any ideas?

I've found that UTI sucks, period. Full of bugs; wideband works sometimes, sometimes it doesn't, software crashes after running more than 20 minutes, other weird stuff... the author doesn't respond to emails, forum posts, nothing...ended up throwing it in the trash and writing off the $50 or so it cost me.

^^ They are all unreliable and crash prone from my experience. Honestly it was easiest to just use the tuner wideband and hyperterminal....

i dunno, i thought it was a great software. I used it exclusively to log though. All tuning was done thru hyperterminal.

But the reason I used UTI was because I wasnt using Tunerpro, so i needed a way to combine AFR onto my logs. Since you have the Tuner, i'd just log with hyperterminal like suggested.

What version are you using? I'm still using version 2.75 and that still work for me. I did test the 3.0 before but had so many problem so I went back. the old version work for me flawlessly so I have stuck with it.

Yea 3.0 is useless due to the bugs. 2.75 works 'OK' but it still crashed on me consistently (in a bad way) after running for 30+ minutes and losing logs. I also couldn't get the A/F to come through reliably.

The fact that the author never responded to be via email or his own forums was enough to tell me this software is dead.

/\ check your usb port... mine only crash when I'm using my 10 year old laptop with a busted USB port. Heck, my old laptop barely have 100 meg of memory and it still work fine. On a decent laptop it is stable. I also have a 15 yrs old latop that is still running on window 98 and the UTI 2.75 also work... lol
