Default My car runs lean on Bank 2. Help is needed.

My car runs lean on Bank 2 (driver side) at WOT. It runs fine in closed loop and you don't notice a thing (Bank 2 is not over-correcting at idle or in open loop. Also, I never got a CEL for this. Usually Bank 1 is correcting more than 2). I'll let the charts tell the story .

I just had my 30k service done and asked the dealer to look at it but the only thing they said they said they could do was to do an injector flush . I asked the dealer if they could test the resistance of the injectors & the injector harness but they said that if there was a problem there I would get a CEL and they didn't bother to do the test .

Do you guys think I am having fuel issues or a really bad exhaust leak? I checked around the car and I could not find a leak . I'm about to order new gaskets & replace them to see if this helps.

TIA for your help.

If it seems to be running OK I would say possible bad 02 sensor? With a true A/F like that you will notice it.

The car runs fine in closed loop. It pings at WOT though .

Wouldn't a bad O2 sensor trigger a CEL?

I'm just saying with 19-20 AFT at WOT I would think you would hear and feel a drop in power, hesitation/misfire, ect. More than just a pinging.

I say swap the upstream O2 sensor and while you're at it check very closely for any possible leaks in the area upstream to the sensor.

^+1. You'd know for sure if it was really running that lean. I tried that when tuning my UTEC NA and low loads and the car bucks and runs crappy.

Are you still running CATs? Factory ones? It could be one is failing.

Question

Update:

I replaced the gaskets and that got rid of the pinging & lean AFR but I now have a heater circuit low voltage code on Bank 2/sensor 1 & a closed loop code.

I'm assuming that the driver side front o2 sensor failed? How hard is it to remove the front o2 sensors on the HR? I only ask because the rear o2 sensors were seized on the cats & I'm wondering if I'll have to buy a new header if the sensor is seized in there . I also heard that Nissan crossthreaded the o2 sensors in the 370z so I'm a little concerned .

Thanks for your help

first, if an o2 sensor on a 370z was crossthreaded it was 1 instance, not all of them. It can happen sometimes.

If you can't get them out then use a torch and heat the o2 bunch around the sensor up really hot and then try to remove it. Should break it free.
