Default utec help?

hey guys ive got a few question about the utec, that im confused on...
i drive an 06 altima se-r, with your basic bolt ons and meth injection (intake,HF cats,y-pipe,pulleys,spacers and vias BOP)
i planned on tuning with utec BUT everywhere i search i come up with different answers...
so i was wondering you guys could lend some assistance!

these questions pertain to my alti not a 350z!!!
what else do you need besides a utec? i heard something about only being able to use certain widebands with it and stuff?
and also i need to order a 350z utec with a harness to make it plug and play?
idk maybe you guys could shed some light plz?

You should probably post this on an Altima forum...??

I have alot of experience with tuning the UTEC but as far as I know the 350Z UTEC only works on 350Z/G35.

No wideband other than the tuner from turboxs will integrate with the UTEC, and only during tuning (you stick it in the tailpipe while on the dyno, ect). Any other wideband will 'work' but just won't show up in the UTEC logs -- you'll have to monitor it separately.

I'm guessing you'll need a harness adapter for your car, I doubt the 350z and Altima use the same ECU.

from what im reading its just plug and play, IF we order the 350z one...
IF WE DONT we need some kinda harness, i guess...
finally got ahold of a decent guy on the alti forums whos helping...hes also running it, so it helps!

djamps: when you said it wont be in utec logs? you mean like data logging?

and monitoring any other wideband would be like real time monitoring??
like the aem uego with a gauge mounted, for real time monitoring? it just wont data log with the utec?

The turboxs tuner wideband connects direct to the UTEC and the A/F is merged with the UTEC logs. It aids greatly in tuning, so you can see RPM, Boost, A/F all in the same log.

The AEM or any other non TurboXS wideband will operate separate... you would have to go on visual only, ect. No logs...
