Default Need Osiris ROM files

I just got my Osiris Tuner Cable, and I downloaded the software off of their website since I didn't get a CD. The problem is, no ROM files are included in the download off of their website.

My ECU is a CE820 and according to the ROM matrix, I need the CE821 file so that I can flash and start playing.

If anyone has that file and can send it to me, I would love to get it tonight and be able to play some. I have a long drive tomorrow and would love to have everything ready to do some logging tomorrow while driving. Otherwise, I assume I'll have to wait until I hear back from UpRev tomorrow when they open back up for business.

Thanks in advance.

When I got my tuner, when they e-mailed me the tuner licence to update the cable with, they also sent the ROM file. Try calling them.

Default Gone for the day, I'm sure

They're based in Austin, TX, so it's 8:30PM there already. I'm sure they're all gone for the day and already down on 6th street partying. God, I love Austin.

Anyways, I've posted it on their forum, on here, sent an email to info at uprev dot com, left a voicemail, and per their instructions on the voicemail, sent them a text message. Not sure that I can do much else unless someone just happens to have that file on hand and can send it to me.

Oh well, I'll just go with the assumption that I probably won't get it tonight, and if I do somehow, it will be a great surprise. Not a huge deal, but with the long drive ahead of me tomorrow, I would LOVE to see the difference. I'm flying out to Texas for all of next week, so I wanted to play with the car on the new tune as much as possible before I leave.

You'll have to wait for Jared to hook you up. BTW the ROM is just a stock tune but modified so you can tune it; there won't be any difference until you start messing with the fuel and timing, ect.

Yeah, I want the WOT for the increased throttle response and a few of the other built in tweaks that the base Osiris tune turns on, just to see what it's like. It's not like I'm going to be driving down the road doing a RTT tomorrow or anything.

If I was in Austin, I'd be knocking off at 4 and heading to 5th & 6th streets for live music every night. It looks like I'll be in Austin (and DFW & Houston) next week to enjoy some of that great live music myself. Too bad that means a week without the Z. Everything's a trade off.

Ah yes I forgot about the throttle table mod. I tried it once, but with the twins it made things too touchy. If anything I want less throttle response haha.

Ah, the twins... one day I'll get there. But I'm starting to wonder whether twins would really be a good match for my driving style right now. I use my car for a cruiser and partial daily driver (I can't do track until I get the rollcage since I'm a roadster). I am in the lower RPM range more than high RPMs, and if I jump on WOT, it isn't for extended periods of time. So I'm wondering if for now, I would be better off with either A) building and stroking a motor, or B) getting a vortech. I'm just thinking that with either of these, I've got more power throughout the band and could even add nitrous with a nano setup for some extra torque. I'm just wondering how much the lag would come into play.

Building for N/A is a complete waste of a large chunk of cash... Vortech is a cheap way to add some power.... for me I just didn't want to deal with belt dust and replacement.

Default So many decisions...

So many decisions... Vortech is probably more practical for me than twins right now. I really don't need the power of the twins until I've had time to make major upgrades to the driver first. And I would probably be tickled pink by just getting some better rods and rod bolts, throwing a Vortech with the 2.87 belt on, raising my rev limit, get it dyno tuned, and call it a day. (And shortly thereafter buy a new clutch/flywheel combo.)

My problem is that I've only ever driven/ridden in my Z. I've never driven or ridden in a Z with a supercharger, nitrous, or twins. So I understand it all in theory, but I really don't know how they feel. Maybe I'll just beg several people for rides in their cars at ZDayz so that I can get an idea of what each feels like versus stock, how it fits with my driving style, and how much power is fun vs how much power is scary.
