Default Pop charger only 06 dyno

Done on a mustang dyno. Runs were done in 4th as opposed to 5th gear since the fastest they were allowed to run the dyno was 150 mph. Pretty awesome day. I was surprised by the outcome seing as to how our elevation is roughly 3500ft above sea level and it was done on a mustang dyno. My expectations were roughly 220 whp. However I walked away with a bit more than that. Only mod is a pop charger that's actually 3 years and 26k or so miles old. Time for replacement.

Basically out local tech school had a cheap dyno run day. $35 for 3 pulls and you keep sheets. So I figured why not get a baseline before I get deep into modding my 06 finally.

First run was a 223 whp. No sheets from this run. Need to go back and get them.

Second run was 237.9 whp and 205.1 wtq The sheets on this one are kind of ****ed up. The guy printing them made an error on the page.
Before correction this run was 209.0@6379 and 180.3 wtq.

Third and last run was 229.2 whp and 192 wtq. I included this run sheet.
Before correction was 201.3 @ 6690 rpm and 169.4 @ 5577 rpm.

Pretty sure the car was spinning on the dyno. Looking at my torque numbers they vary by 12 wtq and it seems unexplainable. Same gear, same day, nearly the sametime, back to back. If anyone can explain that please do.

Overall, I'm impressed by the numbers and can't be any happier with my 06. It's definitely done its job. I had video but my camera is old school and requires a firewire cable and our only old laptop with a firewire hookup is going to ****. So no video.

Oh btw I forgot to mention. My power curve on the 237 run was sick. Peaked at around 6500 rpm I believe. Man I need to go back and get that. In the meantime ask questions and tell me what you all think. Also I don't really care too much about numbers. My goal is peak hp and peak tq. It's how I like to drive.

I believe that not letting your engine cool down greatly varies the power output. If my memory is correct, I think keeping it hot makes more power.

Vince at RT Tuning standardizes his dynos by waiting about 10 mins between each dyno run.

When the engine gets hot you lose tq with each run. Cooler the engine more the power.

+1 and now I'll never forget that. Should've put two and two together.
