I most certainly will. We had a few other appointments today so we will finish up the GTR tune once the other smaller appointments are squared away.

 

When the Nissan GTR was released in 2008 it was instantly branded as an exotic killer and rightfully so. That said there is always something left on the table from a factory tune for us tuners to unlock.



With simple bolt on breathing mods in place this GTR was brought to us by our customer with the goals of making more power while maintaining great driveability. With years of Uprev Osiris tuning experience behind us we strapped the GTR down and began a flash based tune which would pull all of the modifications together with a safe tune while giving the owner multiple user selectable maps that can be changed on the fly.



With only Agency Power intakes and 5Zigen mid pipes installed we were able to tune the car to make quite a bit more power than stock and provide the customer with multiple maps with different boost levels that can be switched on the fly using the cruise control interface. Almost 60 wheel horsepower at the flick of a switch with this tune!



With the customer's expectations exceded we handed him back the keys to what the Nissan GTR should have been from the start.

not only did the torque increase but it widened the torque band by a lot. All out of a simple add on car.

 

The difference on the street is astounding for such simple bolt ons and a good tune.

 

We hope to have a similar post soon but with a GTR that is a little heavier on the modifications.

 

why cant you hold the boost steady? the turbos are not out of breath so there is no reason is should be tapering.

 

^^^ I assuming it was cause the vehicle still had factory cats on it. The DC of the boost solenoid was a 100% so we were trying to keep the boost from tapering but it still was slightly. I would like to get more GTR's in and tune them with UPREV to see if it is something in the software that is effecting it as well.
