Need the UTEC manual!!!
Where can I find the manual that comes with the UTEC? Buddy just bought a TN turbo Z and it has the UTEC, well I need to tune the beast and cannot figure out how to connect to the damn thing to save my life.
Tried TXS's site, and they have the firmware, but no manuals. Google searched EVERYWHERE and never found anything.
Any help would be appreciated!!

Ok, that was the first file I downloaded, but there is no program to open it on my computer. My computer is recognizing it as an 8D file, which I am fairly certain isn't correct. So, try explaining that for me.
I see its compressed, but there is no program that recognizes it on my computer, so I can't open, so I can't get to it.
Tried saving as a diff file type, no good. Tried a different name, no good. What gives?
Also downloaded the user manual from somewhere, and its in the PDF file, and my Adobe won't open it...
And yes, because I am not familiar with the UTEC, it's obvious I shouldn't be tuning. Its all this old tech bull$hit that obviously works so well... not like I don't tune standalones on pro-street turbo hayabusa's and not like I haven't written code for the OEM ECU in my gixxer, on top of having 1000's of hours on the dyno... nope I suck because I can't get a stupid file type to work. Guess I should just tell my buddy to buy a Haltech just so I can figure it out eh?

UTEC is very easy to use and there are plenty of threads on here on how to connect.
You need WINRAR to unpack the files from the turboXS website.
You need HYPERTERMINAL to connect to the utec. Its free and came with most older versions of Windows.
Are you going to be using a serial cable or USB cable?
If it is recognized it as a 8D file ( which is part of the 2_8d in the name) rename it to whatever you want ????.RAR. Then open. Make sure your computer lets you change file extension types.
