Default 120% fuel trims N/A

Sorry if this is a noob question. My HR equip car has all the bolt ons, intake/test pipes/exhaust. I dont know if this happened before I put the bolt ons or not, but the car runs with 115-120% fuel trims/"fuel comp" at idle on the base map.

I ask because I plugged my osiris into my friends G37 with similar bolt ons (and no tune), and he had comp of 100-105%. is there something wroung with my car, or do bolt ons actually make that much of a difference in fuel trims?. maybe I have a dirty injector?

Every car responds differently to mods, and might even have varying trims from the factory. Yours needs a dyno tune, it's running quite lean.

thanks for the reply dj amps! the trims are actually quite easily corrected. I just felt there might have been some sort of mechanical issue that I needed to sort out. I will eventually get it on a dyno, as soon as the local shop gets one! haha

I found out incidentally that the 370z fuel pump is much larger than the HR pump. when I cut out my old fuel filter I found this (attached image). Im going to clean out the whole system, as I found sediment in the outlet of the sending unit.

Is it possible that you're referring to 15-20% trims?

Say fuel delivery is '100', if the engine reads that it needs '110' to acheive the proper AFR ratio.

This would put your fuel delivery at 110%. BUT the fuel trim increase is only 10%

yea of course, I understand what your referring too. its just that the uprev software "fuel correction" is listed as above with 100% being no correction and 120 being 20% additional fuel.

I'd stay out of WOT throttle until you get the tune fixed up. At low and mid throttle the ECU is adding 20% more fuel. At WOT it doesn't do any corrections, so you'll be running almost 2 points higher on the A/F. Probably 14's. No bueno.

thats the weirdo part. without my correction, its running 13.1 @ WOT which is 3% above my 12.80 target.

Are you using non-foulers, j-bungs, or any other 'tricks' on your o2 sensors? That usually causes excessive fueling in closed loop.

nope.

I have tried unplugging the sensors, and I have tried removing them, and dipping in a gasoline soaked rag. no difference in fueling at all. must be managed differently on HR cars

Your car is running on a stock map. With your mods let's say your flowing 20% more air. Hence your car is adjusting for that. Nothing is wrong with your car, you need a tune. If you put your car in 2nd or 3rd and punch it from 1.5-2k rpm I bet ull feel a bog/misfie.
