Default Tuning - Worth it?

Howdy folks,

Most of the threads I see aren't going to answer my questions directly so I apologise if there is another thread of its kind.

Basically, I wanted to get an UpRep tune by Church or Stillen (not sure who is better (I live in SoCal) also not sure how much I am going to benifit from it

I don't wanna spend 500+ bucks on something I wont notice.

Anyway, here is my mod list.

HKS True Duel Exhuast
Stillen Short Ram Intake
Janky Test Pipes

So, with those mods, is it worth getting a tune and will I honestly feel any difference?

Any comments? (flaming encouraged)

The fact that the tune corrected my engine knock and is now running much safer was well worth the price i paid. Plus the ability to switch maps between tuned map, economy map, and anti-theft map is also really useful. You won't notice the gains (10-15 peak whp is not really that noticeable) but you will notice smoother operation and better throttle response.

If you're planning to keep the car for a long period of time then i would do it.

Yes you will notice it. The electronic throttle doesn't even open all the way on the stock tune, the AFR's are way off... just meh. I've never met someone who wasn't satisfied with an Uprev reflash (provided it was done correctly)_

Again if you would have just read the Top 100 FAQ or searched you would have seen this post:

Q: I got an intake, exhaust, headers, plenum spacer, and/or other mods. Do I need a reflash / tune?

A: Most people *will* benefit from either a reflash or tuning, even if you are lightly modded. THE BEST OPTION IS TO FINISH ALL OF YOUR BOLT-ON MODS BEFORE GETTING TUNED!!

You will definitely feel a notice with a tune. If you're planning on adding headers soon (seeing as that's the only next step when it comes to bolt ons), wait until then to get your tune done because re-tuning costs money too. Other than that, go for it.
