new AccessPort on a 2003 350Z. Help and feedback needed
hello everyone.
recently purchased a cobb accessport for my 2003 350z. currently my cars breathing mods include a motordyne Plenum spacer, Injen short ram intake and Invidia 50mm test pipes. I also currently fill 93 premium gas.
so far my plan is to run the stage 2+ map even though i don't have custom headers and exhaust.
then to monitor the A/F ratio and get a custom map.
what software do i need to make my own custom map? what other things do i need to reconsider?
Thanks a lot
any input, feedback or help would be greatly appreciated.

reason i went for the cobb was because i got a really good deal on it and didnt want to pay for a custom tune until i got all my bolt ons done. this way i would be able to use a base map and get a little more from my mods. Then get a custom tune on the cobb after everything.
I have been looking all over the internet for a accessport on craigslist and ebay and none are for sale I have alot of boot ons and it really is the best bang for your buck I just wish I could find one to buy somewhere used (since it is discountinued) anyone know of a place or someone?

You can't monitor A/F with the Cobb on a 03 due to the lack of wideband o2 sensors. The maps also call for 91 octane fuel not 93.
I had an accessport and the options are great. But your using it all wrong. Make sure you have the mods on the stage2+ or you will run way to rich.

so if i cant moniter the a/f ratio how do i know im running rich and is it safe to do so for a while? what do you recommend now, switch to a lower map?
thanks for the feedback
at first i ran stage 2 and 1 with these mods
Berk test pipes, invidia cat-back- and AEM CAI
It ran fine no problems. a little rich on stage two but the only reason i say rich was because the smell of gas from the exhaust. this could have also been caused from the test pipes.
on stage 2+ i had same mods but added a 5/16 plenum space. ran perfect! maybe a little rich due to not having the headers but overall the car performed very strong.
i think you will be fine with what you have. the big concern with lean/rich is the air flow coming in. so you will probly be good but adding a cat back will help you tremendously

the maps are what most call "canned tunes" they are pretty safe to run without haveing all the mods.

the cobb website says that the average gain on the stage 2+ was about 15% increase in power, and stage 2 was 10%. probly not exact on the numbers but a good estimate

thanks for the input. i guess i'll continue looking for an exhaust
So I have the 2004.5 roadster manual (which is not on the map list) the 2004.5 runs the MEC35-360 B1 while the auto 2004.5 roadster (which is on the map list) runs the MEC35-350 B1 and the 2004 manaul has a MEC31-640 and I flashed stage 2 and went to uninstall got a fatal error (most likely becayse it is for the 2004.5 auto) does anyone know how I can get a custom or a workable map that I can install and most importantly uninstall? NEED ONE ASAP
