yes might be ricey but might be cool to have as one of the 5 choices for a tune.. you will not lose power..you increase overlap at idle only.. after that cams go back to normal.

I wouldn't really call that a "ricer" or "poser" thing to do. Ford does this with the Boss 302 when using the track key and as stated before you don't lose any power. Cams = $1500... Ghost cam tune = $75

So let me get this straight. It does absolutely nothing for the car performance wise, its solely there to make the car sound like it has more ***** at idle? That is ****ing retarded, reminds me of those gay little Soundaktar speakers they put on GTI's. And my opinion doesn't change just because Ford wants to open their market to wannabe's.
Instead of actually increasing the power of the car, people do this because they want it to sound like it has more power. How does that not fit the definition of poser?

lol there is going to be lag, the first thing to happen is going to be the TB opening, due to the increased overlap when that happens the air velocity is going to be lower and you will have less response and power until the engine is able to catch up, yes it hurts power.
gas engines throttle off air not fuel, drop the velocity at idle hurts response and power down low. the air has to have the speed and proper closing of the exhaust valve at idle in order to increase rpms

You don't gain any hp from this specific tune its self, but when people get it they have it added in while getting a performance tune that gains 30-40 whp more anyway. This is just icing on the cake for a unique sound. Pretty must the same thing when we change out our exhaust... You don't really gain much of anything but it sounds cool.

The tune doesn't hurt the car but wasn't it said that the best intake is the stock air box? If that's the case people are wasting time and money on an intake that does absolutely nothing and even hurts performance.

What he is trying to do is akin to slapping a bunch of stickers on his car. The Z is showing the same downward spiral the civic is.

If you're meaning that the engine sounds lumpy on tickover as though it had really high lift cams then you can do this if you have an Apexi FC Commander, you can alter it so that it sounds lumpy on tickover. At least this is what i think you're asking, if not then you've totally lost me.
