Just got back from tuning my Z at Fever Racing in Tampa, Fl and Martin did a great job at tuning it! Current mods were Mrev2, JWT pop charger, intense power test pipes, Borla TD, UR pulley. I kinda expected higher numbers since my car was at 261 before test pipes and the pulley but it's cool, it was 91 degrees outside.
I've been looking for a place to tune in tampa. PM me price? Also - it'd be cool to meet a fellow Z guy in the area if you ever want to cruise to meets with me or anything.
You do know that you get slightly less power when the weather is warm/hot as the air is less dense, even if they were blowing a fan whilst doing your tune all its doing is blowing hot air. Thats why when you go nfor a bit of a blast really early in the morning your engine runs more crisply as the air is cooler and more dense.

I have to believe that the tuner left something on the table, judging purely from the AF. AFR's in such low 12's seem very rich to me, and I too, would bet that you'd get some power back from bumping it up closer to 13.0. I don't have much experience with Z's, but you'll see some engines continue to make power in the 13.25+ AFR range.
You should be OK as long as the car starts, idles, and drives to your liking. WOT fuel is a relatively small part of a tune.
I think a lot of the higher HP revups that aren't FI are running 12.4-12.8 for the AFR. I remember reading that these engines seem to be happy with a little more fuel.

You're thinking of the HR/VHR, not the revup... Even then there's a big difference between 12.4 and 12.8... The OP is running at the leanest 12.2.. DE's are great right in the 12.9-13.1 range

that's exactly what Martin told me, he has tuned so many Z's that he figured this is the best way
How about VSR in tampa (formally S&R)? They specialize in Z's and are UpRev cert.
Let's just say I follow them on facebook and I'm not pleased with some of the professionalism there. Pictures of feet on the headrests of a porsche... Coffee cup on an engine block being worked on... Etc. And they just think it's funny.
I have also heard mixed things from other really reputable tuners.

Damn this is depressing. I too have a 06 rev up. Getting tuned soon (uprev) with a KNdrop in, mrev 2, plenum spacer berk test pipes and true dual exhaust. Was really really hoping i could hit 300whp but i dont think i can anymore

its just a number. As long as you see an improvement what's the big deal? my 06 G35 coupe put down 266 DJ with those exact same mods.. Difference in driveability was noticeable tho
