Default 2003 Z + uprev

I faintly recall there being limitations for uprev on the 2003 ECU. This particular Z has cruise control. I plugged in my cipher cable just to poke around and it said 'incompatible ECU' and couldn't clear any codes... but I was able to log some stuff. makes me wonder if it's even flashable.

Can anyone confirm?

I was able to do mine, although I had issues at first with there being no license on the cable on a brand new UpRev.

I remember there being an incompatible ecu troubleshoot somewhere in the user guide though.

Is your software up to date? Never seen or heard of an "incompatible ECU" from an 03 350z... they are finicky tho and sometimes brick up during reflash, but that's a completely different issue.

My 03 with a sept 2002 build date had no problem getting flashed, after I had a defective cable replaced.

Any way to check if you can do anything with Osiris with it? Of course it would have to be able to identify your ecu before you could flash anything. I think that you can do some basic Cipher with certain #'s showing up that you can see in real time, but don't think that you can make an official Log. Good luck with it though! *oh yeah, do the "software updater"; has new stuff often and easy to do.

Yea I can log stuff and check codes but when I cleared them they persisted. Strange.

Is there enough memory in these early ECU's to do map switching?

Thats because the G35 comes with cruise control. Any 350z with cruise control can map switch, or you can add the capability by wiring in the switches and reflashing with a CC enabled rom
