2006 350Z before and after tune
2006 350z Rev-Up Motor
Details:
Stock 2006 air intake with drop in K&N
Unorthodox Racing crank pulley
Plenum Spacer .5”
Berk high flow cats
Magnaflow 3” exhaust
ACT StreetLite flywheel
Tuned:
Up-Rev Custom tune
Dynapack Dynamometer (hubs)
Performed by Church Automotive
93 degrees
The car prior to the tune had all bolt-ons listed. I must say it was really run to drive. It ran well and we hit the rollers at a respectable 280 baseline. After tuning just the AF tuning we picked up 9whp. As you can tell from the chart the air fuel was way off. Then Todd from Church Auto began the intake and exhaust cam tuning. This took a few pulls on the dyno to see what the car liked, we’re talking 6 pulls. After cam timing was dialed in Todd fine-tuned the ignition timing. As a result the car left the dyno @ 296whp @ 6291rpm. This was an improvement of 16whp up top. Although this was excellent, the real story is told in the torque graph. As you can see the car picked up approximately 22ftlbs torque at 3600rpm and maintained a solid torque gain to redline.
Driving Impressions:
With all the bolt-ons prior to the tune the car was a blast to drive. The car has a little over 100K miles. Driving the car after the tune was a dramatic difference! The tune was the best performance mod per dollar over all the other mods combined. It pulls silky smooth all the way to redline. My only regret is not getting this done sooner. If you’re on the fence about spending $550.00 on a custom tune you shouldn’t be. Not only was this the best mod it was cheapest dollar per horsepower mod available. I hope this helps.
Attached are the dyno graphs.
