That's fair. There is no greater bond between you and your car on a long trip. Be sure to take lots of pictures.

Hey, I meant to ask you... I looked into those long tube headers you told me about the other day, but unless I'm missing something you can't have the art pipes with them right? They pretty much replace any test pipes?

Ugh... that sucks (to both of your comments). Well, I don't want to not have the art pipes, so are you saying that regular headers may not be worth it? Someone mentioned that they can actually decrease your hp. Is that correct?

Corrected

you mean headers? to me if i am going to take the time to replace the headers, i am going to go big or go home. it is a very long install, it took my buddy about 8 hours (with beer breaks) to install his. another buddy has the shorty headers paired with high flow cats and he hit 262 (i think) i love the art and tdx2 combo (i am sure the hks will sound good too) it really depends on if you want to deal with how loud it is going to be and if you want to mess with or pay for the install.

Yeah, I think I'm going to skip the headers and just do the mrev2 and call it good. You know anything about the Kinetix Velocity Manifold? The numbers seem to be about the same as the MD setup but looks way cooler than the MD. Any thoughts?

For a 1,000 I would rather have the Cosworth plenum. My opinion anyway.

I meant vs the Kinetix. I have a MREV with Crawford Tall plenum. I can notice a difference in mid range.

yeah i have a spacer with the z1 upper thats p&p and my lower plenum is p&p
id say there is definitely in increase once it picks up around 2.5 to 3k, i cant wait to complete the exhaust bolt ons and get a tune done.

id say for the money id definitely do cosworth over the kinetix.
although im pretty sure the last i looked the kinetix was about $750, and the cosworth was around $1,200

Well, since I've already got the spacer I just went ahead and ordered the mrev2 and the Aramid gasket to go with it. I think for the money that was probably the best deal, and I haven't heard anything negative about MD products. Will take pics when they arrive. Can't wait to get it and the ART pipes installed!

Yeah, it's going to slow way down for me at this point. Other than the tune, I'm done for a while. My future wish list is...
Cams
Brembo big break system <--- that one is gonna hurt! .... (But not as much as your FI)

Then I'm DONE!........ Maybe? the problem with Modding is its so dang hard to stop!

There are better options on bbk kits than brembos (my opinion)... hell I have seen corvette brakes on a z. Rotora, stoptech, endless, if you want cheaper you could do the akebonos

I've heard of stoptech...I'll look into those akebonos. My problem is I'm a brand addict, that's why I was looking at Brembos, but I'm def open for suggestions!
