Default de tune soon!

Heading to my local uprev tuner this saturday to see what my z can do. Any guesses?

03 de, nismo cai, iso thermo 5/16 spacer, berk hfc, and that's about it.

It's very light with mods, has about 215k km on it (about 134k miles) and its just been regularly maintained. I don't see anymore 'power' mods in the future. It is my dd and occasional track car. Just want it to last.

I'm hoping to make 230 whp at least.

I'll post up the results later.

Nice, I plan on getting my Z tuned this summer also. I'm close to Markham, I was referred to Tony at Dynamotorsports who charges same price as Advance Powerhouse.

Yeah... I had some work done there back when Ed was still at APH. Never dealt with Bryan as he was more of a Subaru/Evo guy.

I'm sure he'll do a decent job...

THE RESULTS.

got in at 10am with 231hp/232lbft
left at 2pm with 252hp/252lbft

pretty surprising how my baseline was so low lol. i honestly didnt expect that, i guess its just age. even with regular maintenance. maybe its time for a rebuild? im also pretty surprised with what i left with, higher than i thought it would be lol. what do you guys think?

btw jv350z wins the guess-off!

heres the dyno and a pull vid for fun.

252 isnt bad ... IIRC, back in the day with similar mods I did 246. I would look to rebuild unless something is specifically wrong. Enjoy the car and congrats on the results

yeah ive read that too. most of the popular tuners around here use them though, so its gonna be my bench lol

but i am happy, im done with power mods. no money for headers or exhaust. the only thing left for me is just swaybars and hopefully it will last another 200k lol

next purchase before sways though will be camshaft and crank position sensors. pretty sure my 03's sensors are on the way out, takes a good 5 seconds of cranking to start the car

They are well known for nissn tuning as well. There's actually a group buy with a fantastic price on the 'vq north' fb page of your interested. Aph is closer to me but if I knew about the group biy earlier I would have went there.

I believe it requires deposits until the end of April to secure a spot, so check it out.
