Talking tuning advise.

Hey guys and girls, me again with some more questions. So, I have an 05z with test pipes and a plenum spacer (or however you spell it) from z1. I want to get an engine management, z1 offers a reflash or sperate units. In y'alls opinion, what would be a good unit? Let me know what y'all think, please and thank you!

Just get an uprev tune, but do all the mods you want first as tuning for those 2 mods alone with a tune probably will not net much gain. With simple bolt-ons you will not need a haltech etc.

no model is equipped with uprev from the factory. its software used for aftermarket tuning. its perfect for your car with the bolt ons you have.

I'm just mess'n with ya! you passed the 'are you up-tight' test...or should I say failed the test?? Eitherway, you're alright in my book!

Get the Uprev like JDM35 suggested...it's a good balance of value and results and will be plenty for what you need. Update this thread with your progress.

Alright guys, been saving for a tune. Now, where is a good place to get her tuned?!? I live in Houston/Austin area. And how much would the tune be running? And random, bit how do I fix a 1283?? I've sprayed my engine and hoses with carb cleaner and I didn't find a leak, and I took off my test pipes and put them back on but I can't find a leak.

You can either buy the Osiris standard kit and tune it over email with datalogs (you reflash the car then email datalogs back and forth with a tuner who builds the maps based on them) or go to a protuner shop (or Uprev HQ in Austin) and get dyno tuned. Dyno tuning will give you the instant gratification and maximum HP but its more expensive and you don't get the reflash cable.. Not sure of other places but I believe Uprev charges around $700 for the reflash and dyno tune, the Osiris standard kit costs $550 including the tuning
