Default 05 base rev limiter

I rarely ever drive my car hard but I've noticed when I do my car doesn't bounce off the rev limiter it just bogs down. I drive an 05 base with k&n intake, berk test pipes, stillen y pipe, and agency power rear exhaust with no tune. The last few days I've been driving it hard and I noticed when I take it to redline it doesn't bounce off the limiter it just bogs down. Is this normal? I have the shift light set to 69000. If I launch the car hard in first gear it doesn't bounce off the limiter it just gets to redline and bogs until I shift. Is this normal? Forgive me for being a noob but I've babied my car up until this point. It only has 80k+ on it.

Fuel cut off. Secondly why would you want to bounce off? Youre losing power after 6kish anyways. Why go pass redline? It does nothing good, but the consequences could br painful....

Edit: i would statt shifting maybe 200 after redline.

Not necessarily wanting to take it all the way to the limiter but when I when I accidentally did the other day I happened to notice it didn't bounce like other cars I've owned and just wanted to make sure that was normal. Thanks for clearing it up.

FYI, your rev limiter is factory set to 6600 rpm, the shift light is just a little light in the dash and has nothing to do it it.

Also out cars have a pretty soft limiter, you can get tuning software and change the parameters if you want.

There's no power up there. No point to shift that high. I have tried up to 7100 on my DE, it's useless and puts strain on the motor it doesn't need
