Default Good Tuner Near Louisville, Ky?

I am about to install a 5/16 motordyne spacer, mrev2, and art test pipes. I already have a nismo s tune exhaust and nismo intake. To my knowledge the car has never been tuned. A tune would be worth it right? To get more power out of all my bolt ons? Just curious how much more power is gained through a tune.

I was also wondering if anyone knows any good tuners around Louisville, Ky. I know two tuners but I don't think they work on many nissans, one works on evo's I think and idk about the other. Ive also found a dynasty in the area, anyone had a tune done by them? I guess it would be better to go to a performance shop rather than an individual? Just want to get a good tune without spending an absurd amount of money.

P.S. I drive an 05 track edition don't know if that matters or not

Regards, louisville13: DYNOSTY is about as competent as you'll find. Make an appointment. It may take a month or two to get your Z in. Dynosty runs a stingy dyno & they're not in business to blow engines up. Want manipulated #'s, go somewhere else.

I'm gonna be doing mine at dynosty.. not sure what the uprev tune would cost.

I'm new to the whole tuning deal.. but from what I've learned, dynosty is about the best out there.

Any insight on the cost of this tune?

Its usually the same everywhere you go, about $550-600.

I also know next to nothing about tuning. Does it usually take awhile? Do I need to know like a certain kind of tune I want? And does it add that much more hp to make the ~$600 worth it? Thanks for all the replies yall

Regards, louisville13: For the price, you get the uprev license ($300) and an hour on the dyno ($ame). You might see a 5hp increase. If it's requested, Hal can optimize for a specific range of rpm's. There may be as much as (NA) 20hp to move around. This is like robbing Peter to pay Paul and does not mean you'll see 20 additional hp. You asked a good question.

Your greatest benefit may be the assurance that timing and A/F ratios are spot on.

Thank you! Looks like i will be getting a tune sometime in the near future (after i install my parts and come up with another $600 for the tune...man car parts are expensive ). Last question, i did a little google search on the uprev license and im a little unclear on it. Is that just a license for like the tuning software that will be used on my car?
