Default NWP Big bore throttle body

So I am fabbing up my own 09 Maxima 75mm TB setup for my 03 350z with twin Greddy 18g and supporting mods. I'm going to do the spacer in phenolic and have located a TB adapter harness.

I saw a thread mention the NWP kit has a resistor in the harness, assumingly to recurve input or output. Any truth to this and if so, could someone find it on there harness and provide me with the resistor(s) value and wiring information.

I'll also be happy to provide a write up and pictures to the rest of the community, as all in I'm looking at $160 in parts and an hour or so with a drill, scroll saw, and sandpaper to get similar results. I appreciate the NWP kit is nice craftsmanship and will look better than my home brew, but I just like figuring out how to diy.

Many thanks,
Aaron

Nice - not sure about the NWP kit but you may want to touch base with Darren(??) at Nisformance - he builds/sells the jumper harness for the VQ...

That's where I bought the harness

I'll reach out to him, but his stuff is for 87/90mm LS throttle bodies, probably needs a standalone ECU or a lot more UpRev tuning to work with one of those. NWP with their "magical" harness is claimed to be plug and play and there was a thread somewhere that mentioned a resistor in the harness (can't find it, ostensibly to modify the signal in or out to play well with the 350z/G35 ECU). NWP doesn't sell the harness on it's own, but values it at ~$75-100 ($200 for adapater plate + harness package, $125 for just the adapter plate). I got my harness at Nisperformance for $50 which I still thought was high, but less than the trouble of pouring through McMaster-Carr and similar to find the mail 350z style pigtail (female Maxima side of the pigtail is a $10 Autozone part).

and yes - you will need a standalone ECU helps quite a bit ... I'm not sure on the maxima TB.

if you wanna play you gotta pay!

Did you read this thread?

https://my350z.com/forum/na-builds/6...maxima-tb.html

I don't remember what he used, but he installed everything on my z, did the adjustment, and I had no problems running the 75mm maxima tb.
