Steve,

Just for reference - the second run in the afternoon on my car had the mid range torque restored - I will show the graphs later when the uk forum is back online.

Cheers

Your car put out 6hp less at the fly wheel than mine true.
Peak hp is not the true test though according to peter.
Peter put the first 4 runs up on the computer and between 3k and 5k my car was pulling at the lowest 25hp and the highest 48hp more in that range than the other 3 one of them being Ricks. This is where my gains have been made by what I have fitted.

In your case that would be horsepower then

Octane booster, 50psi and you LOST horsepower

So who's running Octane Booster...

are you using the ****ing stuff on your GT4 Rick, or is it V trying to play catch up

I can't be arsed with additives, too much of a ballache

(Just seeing what gets ****ed by the swearfilter BTW)

Was running 100 RON petrol on the autobahns in Germany. No noticeable difference over 98RON.

Giles,

Val was so upset by the power output of his car in the morning that he disappeared off for a bit. When he finally returned it transpires that he had bought octane booster and inflated his tyres to 50psi.

He then ran his car again and lost horsepower over the mornings run

My car was absolutely as it was delivered. Val even got a tyre pressure gauge to check everyones tyres he was that convinced everyone was cheating on him

Rick, I know that you used to run Octane Booster, but didn't Ruaridh (sp) warn against such antics

Giles,

Yeah - Ruraidh recommended against it - from experience it wont do any harm in the short term. I prefer to use race fuel rather than octane booster, problem is that the EURO Zed is setup to run on 98 RON so it doesnt matter what you put in over and above that - the ECU just wont use it. At least you can be sure your getting the full 98 RON performance though which obviously isnt guaranteed on Optimax as Ruraidh said.

wrong as usual.

you chickened out from weighing your wheels with the really bad excuse that they'd scratch if taken off, by the way

I was really pleased with the morning results, being the 3rd or 4th most powerful car.
I was running UL97, not optimax, and I always use octane booster, which was already in the tank.
I then, for the sake of experimenting, inflated the tyres for the second run, and also swapped the oem filter with the S-Tune. Lost about 5hp. Like everyone else apart from a couple of cars on their second run, mostly due to the fact that it got much warmer than in the morning. IIRC Seb tried and did about 3 runs consecutively, getting lower and lower in hp, to about 259

My figures went up in the afternoon

For reference my dyno run in the morning was actually the 4th run the car had made consecutively as it was used to warm up the dyno

My car super schweet

Val,

Yeah - but as above - that first run was actually the 4th consecutive on the dyno.

I've spoken to Peter about getting the car back on the dyno in a few weeks - more than welcome to come along and try resetting your ecu to see if we can get some bhp out of it etc.

Cheers

Val,

Its worth resetting the ECU as it should provide an increase in HP as it hasnt had chance to relearn your mods etc.

I havent reset my ECU as the car is standard - I would just like to run it again once its losened up a bit !!

Cheers
