Cheers for the responses...

I have checked out the UK site recently and seen some familiar faces.

I ordered through Nissan Reg Vardy in the centre of Leeds. Apparently five people have ordered cars through this dealer.

I'm going to phone today and ask about delivery dates as I haven't heard anything for a while.

Does anyone know if they are releasing just 450 this year? My order is number 461, so hopefully that doesn't mean an '04 delivery. Like I said, I arrived and place my order at 3:55pm.

Ordered mine from Middlehurst Nissan in St Helens - order number 85 - bit annoying since they had my deposit last October !! But on the other hand they did have a 350z import last November so I got to play with it early !!

Ordered a Gun Metal Grey with charcoal but now im paranoid about performance - with all the extra bits on the UK model its going to be heavy and its down on power too !!

Gizmo71,

The UK models are like a cross between the US Touring and Track models (i.e. we get the luxury of the touring and the performance bits of the track) - the Brembo brakes weigh considerably more than the standard brakes and even with the RAYS alloy wheels it only brings it down to a similar unsprung weight to the touring.

We are getting a bigger (and heavier) fuel tank than the US along with a few other minor trim bits such as spoiler and heavier interior trim which add to the Tourings weight. We are not talking a whole lot - I was told around 10-15kgs but the loss of more than 11hp wont help. The last I heard Nissan UK were considering putting on a different exhaust to try and restore some of the power to offset weight gains.

There are also a couple of mechanical items we are getting which are not standard on Japanese and US cars such as an oil cooler which add considerable weight. The 10-15kgs increase over the touring was based on having the RAYS alloy wheels.

The aero pack should reduce drag so hopefully the weight gain will be offset.

Didn't know the Brembos weighed significantly more. I assume we don't get the option of 17" wheels because the Brembos don't fit under them?

The aero pack should help at high speeds but im more concerned at lower speeds - the Australians are saying that their 275bhp 350Z are doing between 6.2 and 6.7 second 0-62.5 times - which is only on a par with the Crossfire, RX8 and BMW 330i.

I was hoping for something noticeably quicker than my 330i. The only good news is that I drove a Japanese spec 350Z auto a couple of weeks ago and it felt noticeably quicker than my manual 330i - I was hoping the manual 350 would be quicker still.

According to our UK poll, looks like 1 in 3 cars will be gunmetal colour. The blue and silver arn't far behind.

No one has gone for the red yet......I wonder if the name is to blame?!

That or the fact that if it looks anything like a Boxster in red it'll be hideous.

Glad to see my Sunset will be fairly unique.

Gizmo,

Good news for you - for some reason I avoided ordering silver because I though everyone else would order it - now I know everyone has ordered Gunmetal its a bit depressing !!

Pity its too late to change to red - it may look bad but it would definately be unique and nearly £300 cheaper......

I wouldn't rely on this small sample.....for all we know everyone else might have ordered Chilli Pepper. But i doubt it.

Anyway, Gunmetal is cool.

In fact all the colours look good.

Talking

Hi all - new to the party,

Thought very long and hard over the colours - Gunmetal was a very very close second - must have been Bonds Vanquish (up to the point where I had phone in hand right after I left the garage to amend).....but I wound up with my first choice - Azure Blue

My neighbour has also on order a 350z - but has gone for the bizarre Sunset...........anyway the Close will have 2 very cool cars in Jan, just one will look better then the other

350z, GT Pack - Azure Blue...........

Hey any news on whether sat nav will become available?

Okay "tasteful" it is then.........colour still reminds me of that Apache on the Vauxhall Tigra (remember that one!)

Speaking of colours just saw my first facelifted BMW 3 series coupe in that new silver grey colour (very similar to gunmetal I think), in the dull/grey London weather we have today - it didn't look too great Maybe it was just the car!!!

Chrome in the US and Silverstone = Gunmetal in the UK

Super Black = Kuro (UK)

Chilli, Azure and Sunset are the same.

No PPW and Brickyard in the UK

Offical Nissan site in UK

Hope this helps
