350Z for sale
Unfortunately I must sell my 350Z Touring Spec, Silver, Leather, Bose Sound, Sat Nav(jap spec). Sold with 3 year warranty and 3500miles.
This is not a gratuitous attempt to make money, One week after taking delivery, Found out my wife is pregnant.
I can categorically say that the Z is everything it is cracked up to be, the best handling car i have driven, with the exception of my integrale of course.
I am not going to put a price here, but if anybody is interested they can contact me on 07968 475708.
Rest assured, if it was not for my personal circumstances, i would not be selling
Cheers

Hi Dan,
When I was at West London Nissan last week they were talking about possibly getting hold of an import - they want one for test drives, or just for people to sit in. If people saw it, they would buy it, they kept saying (although they are buying 'em anyway!). I was thinking that you could maybe get pretty much whatever imports are going for now if you sold to a Nissan dealer, because it would save them waiting for one.
Just a thought anyway. Good luck, and congrats on the baby.
PS: Can you explain why having a baby means that you can't own a Z? Last time I checked, babies were pretty small creatures!
No really, I've never understood that "baby forces sale" thing. Until the SUV/Minivan explosion, babies and kids were driven around in normal cars and all the better for it in my opinion. I have great memories of sitting in my grandad's Triumph Stag.

Hi Sally
Thanks for your reply, thats a good idea, I will give it a try
re the Baby issue, I am also trying to buy a monster house that needs much money spent on it, while keeping hold of my Lancia Integrale, something has to give, The Z was last in............
Incidentally, I sold my TVR Tuscan to buy the Z, Best thing I ever did I reckon ;-)

Hi Dan,
Wow, you had a Tuscan? How come you say changing to a Z was so great? Did your Tuscan give you problems? I've been very lucky with mine - can't fault it - although I know it will scare the sh*t out of me come wintertime....
You are the first Tuscan/Z owner I've met, so any insights would be very gratefully received. PM me if you don't wanna clog up the public airwaves!
Cheers

Hi Sally,
No I have not sold the car yet, mind yu I have not been trying overly hard!!
Re the Tuscan, I found the car was all engine, ie the chassis felt underengineered, the suspension was agricultural to say the least, the slightest camber or imperfection unsettled it to the extent of been just bloody dangerous. However it was always a challenge and entertaining if you were in the mood.
The Z is a different ballgame, the steering is nicely weighted and informative, the handling reminds me of my Integrale, without the understeer that 4wd provokes, really good stuff, be interesting to see if the UK cars are tweaked for UK roads. Mine has done 4k miles now and the engine is loosening up nicely. I drove one on 18inch rims and mine sits on 17 inch, quite frankly its a better drive. Word of warning, the panels are quite thin, vigorous polishing causes flexing!!
Hope the foregoing is useful
ps does your tuscan leak?

Thanks Dan
What year was your Tuscan? How long did you own it for? What did you drive before the Tuscan?
I have had similar handling problems to those you describe (mine's an Oct 2000 car), but I have spoken to many drivers of later cars and also of the earlier cars who've had their suspension upgraded to later model spec, and the phrase "completely transformed the car" has come up more than a few times. I certainly noticed on my countryside convoy with 6 other Tuscans last week than I was the slowest through corners and the least stable at high speeds. All the other cars were newer models or early cars with upgraded suspension...
I agree completely about it being all about the engine. I don't think the chassis is bad, I just think it can't keep up with such an amazing engine. But I also know that stuff can be significantly improved on - I'm just not sure how much money I want to put into the car just so that it performs as I'd expected it to. Although if the handling was improved substantially this car would be pretty much perfect, so maybe it's worth a it. £1k for a suspension upgrade, maybe £1k for traction control...
I am taking my car to get the alignment set up next week, and then maybe upgrade my tyres and get a suspension upgrade. Nitrons come particularly highly recommended, and also offer adjustable ride height (I also noticed from photos last weekend that my car sat much higher than all the others).
I am also thinking long and hard about what I really want in a car, and I must admit as much fun as straight flat speed is, nipping through the corners is just as much of a blast, and considerably better for the licence! I can't ever see myself just owning the Z though. I love the raw open-top sports car thing too much, but maybe I could think about getting an early Lotus Elise for my summer toy and daily drive the Z. They seem pretty afforable these days. I just LOVE the feeling of a car that sticks to the road that well.
Does it leak? I have a 'dribble' from the roof/window seal when it's raining hard, yes, but no footwell leaks or anything. New seals should fix that though. To be honest we've only had 2 serious lots of rain since I got the car on Feb 14th so it's not bothered me enough yet to get it seen to.

Hi Sally,
I had a May 2000 car, mechanically it was very sound, never gave me significant problems. I heard the same stories about the suspension upgrades, I think the factory sorted the issues and lauched the Red Rose Spec under the guise of a special edition, this suspension is sposed to be significantly improved.
My car was on original 16inch rims, god knows what it would have been like on 18inch!!
I have owned 4 Lancia integrales and a 3 litre alfa spider,
at the mo I have a 300bhp integrale dealer collection and my Z, but have access to an Elan S2, ferrari 328 and a golf 1600 mark 2 that i bought for 230 quid to cart the dogs around in!!
thinkin of replacing the z with a maserati ghibli cup, or an audi rs4, but no decisions yet.
real prob with the trevor was depreciation, bought for 31k and sold for 25k after months of trying
hope you enjoy yours ,tame the tuscan and you should be well satisfied!!
