I have noticed on your forum various levels of frustration re: the ordering/delivery of your cars.
We had the same deal over here and were offered pre-order status. I pre-ordered in early March 02,and was told delivery by early July.
I was the last (out of 10) available slots at my local dealer.
The big thing was that I got my car 3RD !! as Nissan does not build per the order sheet.They seem to build as per model ..
I still did not get my car until OCT 3rd.!!

The car is SOOO worth the wait.It handles superbly, goes like **** off a shovel,and is a great talking point wherever you go..

My only regret is living in S.California where we have things such as speed limits.Maximum, even on the freeways is 65.mph!!!

Which means you have to keep a close eye in the mirror.
The motorways are great in England and your police are a bit more forgiving..(I am from Sussex origionally.)
I would like to point out that there have been a number of problems with the car over here.(which are being fixed,I hope)
Main prob is the 6spd tranny is having to be replaced.
Secondly the front tyres are wearing badly causing road noise so bad that you have have the stereo on, (causing "feathering") due to toe angle not right.
Like I said though this is a great car but it is NEW, and one can expect probs with #1 model.

Could you confirm whether the front & rear badges are identical in shape & size?

If so, could you confirm the size of the badge in as many places as possible...

i.e. internal diameter, external diameter, overall width including side tabs, height of side tabs etc, etc. (preferably in millimetres / metric not inches )
