Sorry. It just struck me that I'm REALLY looking forward to getting this car!!! After all my to-ing and fro-ing, it really was 'Lust then Love' (as the book said), and I really do think we're gonna be happy together, for the long haul. I've had lust with most of my cars, but because I've always gone for things that are fun but not necessarily reliable or comfortable or safe, those little niggles have got to me after a while, but the Z... I love it's looks, and I know it's gonna look after me, rather than me having to look after it.

mmmmmm Gun Metal with burnt orange interior thats what I like to see!

The orange interior looks a bit fierce on that pic though.....hope its a bit more subtle in the flesh!

Anyway, look on the bright side........you don't have to wait for 12 months like i do!!

Incidentally, I was planning to maybe take a trip to one of the import places that has a Gunmetal/Alezan car in and check out the colours for myself. Just to put my mind at rest!

I've read that it's basically a baseball mitt colour. I live with an American baseball fan (who has a mitt or two lying around) and I can confirm that it's a very nice colour. Sort of a butterscotch or pale tan more than orange.

 

every day i go through all of the options.......i'm hopelss at making my mind up at the best of times! At the end of the day its a Z........and thats what matters.........

I do like the silver though.......and the metallic orange....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Seeing that pic of the Sunset next to the Gunmetal helps reassure me that silver or gunmetal would've been to sedate for my tastes.

My mate put a deposit down on a merc SLK today......£500 deposit and delivery xmas 2004. The dealer reackons he can make at least £3k profit if he wants to sell.

But 20 months delivery on a merc has cheered me up!

You're quite right. I think it was a terrible idea of for the UK show car to be orange over orange.

I guess I should stick with orange and start saving up for that black steering wheel....
