Default Buying to sell

Saw this today:

http://www.pistonheads.com/ads/detai...2&sc=K7TD&s=71

Makes me wonder how many of the 450 pre-orderers were just out to try and make some money. I'm not even sure if they'll succeed though.

Also, isn't it a complete lie that there is still a waiting list over 12 months? If you ordered one now when would you get it?

It's not me - but that is my spec (how dare they )

Make's you wonder whether Nissan can monitor the 450 & work out who it is that's profiteering

Oh well, it's the way of the world I suppose

(I'll post it on www.350zuk.com as well)

I thought about putting a deposit on a second 'Z', I was quoted delivery around June/July 2004 by my Nissan dealer. I have seen imported 'Z's at around £30/£32k. By the way, I was not thinking of buying the second car to make a profit on the first, my business partner is green with envy and wants one too. I dont really understand the way that cars have been allocated with initial delivery dates varying between October 03 and First Quarter 04. My Nissan dealer also said they were only taking orders on GT Pack + Rays, is this the case for everyone? I would have chosen those options anyway but it all seems a bit manipulative, I suppose all of the hype will help with building desire and strengthen early residuals

Basically, if you wanted a 2003 delivery (out of the batch of 450) you had to order a GT specification with Rays Alloys...

...any other specification would result in a 2004 delivery.

So yes you would be right in saying that we are all those that are quoting a delivery date of October 2003 are GT + Rays. I know Gizmo has ordered a different spec & has been quoted 2004 delivery

I am pretty certain if Nissan found out who this person was they would cancel the order.
My dealer told me they were checking the buyers of the first 450 to try & ensure there was no profit making going on.
Personally I think they are crazy, I cant wait to drive this car.

Well it would be pretty easy for Nissan to find out who they were. I don't really see how they can stop someone selling the car once it's delivered though.

I noticed that someone on Ebay is trying to sell their position in the first UK allocation.
