Default How much to preorder in UK

How much do you need to pay for preordering the 350Z.

I want to order mine in germany, and the Dealer said that I need to pay 20% of the final price for preordering.

I have some problems with this.
How about you?

A deposit of £ 2,000.00 GBP Sterling is payable to the Dealer in the UK.

This deposit is fully refundable if you decide that you do not want to proceed with the purchase.

20% sounds like a rip off - contact Nissan Customer Services (for Luxembourg) direct - if you can find their details

I'll echo that comment. It sounds like the dealer is scamming you somewhat. You could also search for another nearby dealer and see what they say.

I remember someone telling me that the dealer will retain ~£230 of your deposit for admin fees etc. though I could be wrong.

I think myself and others have been assured that Nissan put a rule in place that *all* the money should be refundable, so this would certainly be a surprise.

Who was it on this forum that changed their mind after their local dealer was messing them around? Could check there maybe?

Ok I talked again with the dealer.

He told me that he normaly asks nothing for preordering. My dealer is located in germany and he just wanted an insurance that I take the car when it is delivered. As he had bad experience with somebody who ordered an X-trail for luxemburg and then the customer didn't want it anymore when it arrived.

We settled now for 1000Euro. I placed my order a week ago, and the dealer estimates that I will perhaps get it in october YEAHH. Apparently there are not many preorders in germany.

I ordered in germany because Nissan Belgium/Luxemburg is ****. You can't preoder here. The car can be ordered only from october on. I also wrote an email to nissan belgium. Guess what... No Answer.
