Anyone from NJ preorder from Rt 1 Nissan in Avenel? Have you been successful in getting information? They told me that they were recieving ALL of there preorders at once sometime between mid to late August. I don't know if it's true or not. But I sure hope it is. I was just wondering if anyone has gotten the same information.

 

I pre-ordered from Acme Nissan on Rte 130 in South Brunswick. The dealer was fairly clueless, but I think that dealers would get all their pre-orders at once, instead of one at a time. Logistically, it makes more sense. The dealer did not pin a date as exact as yours did; he only promised 'somewhere from August to October'.

 

As much as I want to believe it I'm not sure if I should believe that my car will be coming in August. They guy I ordered from doesn't work there anymore and the operator or receptionist or whatever connected me to someone who was handling all the preorders for the dealership and he sounded sure about the delivery period. In fact, he sounded almost too sure. But I don't know. I've been calling my dealership a lot lately and I think that they might be getting sick of me and that they just told me that so maybe I would leave them alone. Oh well. I guess I just have to hope for the better.

 

I pre-ordered my Z in mid May from Difeo Nissan [Award of Excellence ] on Rt440 Jersey City, my salesman said I was like 1 of the last 2 preorders from an allotment of 50 cars. He believe the cars would be arriving mid August, and I sort of believe him. Jersey City is very close to the seaports over here so maybe they'll be receiving their cars before everyone else. I hope.

 

I ordered on 5/3 from Pinebelt Nissan in keyport NJ. I spoke to them about 2 weeks ago and they still insist all 9 of the preorders would be coming in August on the same truck. I don't have much faith in this. I get the feeling they are saying this to get off the phone and they never have any more information than this.

 

Maybe it is true. If you think about it, it makes sense to start with the closest dealerships from the points of entry and then work your way to all the inner states. And since they will be coming in to Port Elizabeth we should be among the first to get the cars IMO. My dealership is practically down the road from the seaport.

 

I preordered May 13th. I went to the Mid-Atlantic Hdgtrs last week and they told me to expect mine around the first week in October
