Recent visitor to UK
I visited your beautiful country last October in Cornwall and last week in the Lake district. My ? is where are all the Zs! I saw none last October and only 1 last week and we put almost 1500 miles on our rental each visit. See alot of TTs and Kompressors. Is Nissan unpopular in England or is the Z hard to get? I get lonesome for mine and watch the roads for others!! Also please explain to me why the birthplace of classic rock that has shaped my life can't be found on radio stations there? Were we too far out of the populated areas? I had to listen to classical music each week and really miss Led Zeppelin, the Stones, Jethro Tull, Clapton and all the other truly amazing musicians that have come from England. Can't wait to return, usually visit at least once a year but the exchange rate is pretty brutal right now!
Hi there,
Glad you had a good visit... to answer your Z question, the Z was only released in Europe for the 04 model, so in the UK the first car was delivered on 27th October 2003
Nissan set a new record when they launched the Z in the UK - the pre-order programme launched @ 3.50pm on March 17, 2003 & all 450 cars allocated to the UK were sold in a less than 1 hour
- So yes the Z is popular...
that said, Nissan are limiting the supply to Europe & so there will never be the same numbers as in the US. So for us UK owners, we've got a rare car
, most people don't even know what a 350Z is & Nissan have only just started to run a marketing campaign.
FYI the allocation for 2004 is about 1400 cars & most of them are now sold.
As to the Rock Music question, the large majority of radio stations are pop based & aimed more at the teen market... blame Simon Cowell for that one
