Too bad. I think it is a mistake to drop the car show. I went the 2nd year and it was fun seeing all the diff gen Z's.

I don't think there's anyone here who DOESN'T want the car show. Crazy, but sadly true.

I'm pretty sure MOST people do in fact want the car show. I think it was a mistake for them to choose not to do it this year.

That wouldn't be hard to put together. Get some people to run the registration and voting. And charge a few bucks to cover the trophies and their time.

Last year it took about 10 people to handle the parking and logistics, 2 people to hand out and gather the ballots, 2 of the regular staff (Andy and Morris) to settle several disputes on class, and 3-4 to count the ballots. Some people doubled up but it IS pretty labor intensive. And you have to buy trophies ahead of time - you won't have a budget unless you know ahead of time how many will be showing, and since the staff has decided not to get involved, it won't be part of the usual registration. If you guys really want to have a car show, you probably ought to talk to the staff. There was a discussion last year on having various clubs take over particular events, but it did not go anywhere. I am sure the difficulties of a car show are old news to some of you who may have done one before; personally I agree with the decision to NOT have one. Of course the ZROC motto is "the only part of my car I want to show is the tail lights"!

the way I see it, is the event is essentially a giant show anyway

I frankly grow tired of "judged" events -I'm just looking forward to nice weather, nice roads, and nice people!

All I wanna do is park our cars in that field where the show was last year and just hang out and compare cars and parts.....and drink a few brews. No judging, just oggling everyone else's rides.

I hope someone does a show... so everyone goes to that and there are less people on the road for that window of time.

Though the Z drivers were never the problem last year. It was the Harleys.
