I was still at the party

 

Dude....I am so exhausted.
But that was quite possibly the best event I have EVER been too.

 

I hear ya. I got home a little before 5 PM today and just fell on the couch. I'm guessing I slept 10-12 hours since Thursday.

We heard about the wreck during dinner on Saturday, at that time the rumor was that it was our widebody vert, which we didn't bring this weekend. That car was a replica of Russell's (Z1) widebody car that we built for a customer. Looks like it could've been pretty serious, glad to see that everyone came out ok from the accident.

[22:40] Lucas: beauty of a white 350Z behind me...Bob's favorite of the day, actually
[22:40] Lucas: that Kamaal guy in the widebody 300ZX comes around the corner...sideways
[22:40] Lucas: at least one front tire was in my lane, maybe a foot or a foot and a half of bumper
[22:41] Lucas: I register enough to apparently get over and say "he lost it", right before he careens past me and head-ons the white Z
[22:41] Lucas: I saw it kinda-sorta in the rearview, and definitely heard it
[22:42] Lucas: contemplated running...dunno why...then started looking for a turnaround. passed killboy, told him he dumped it bad, and found a place to pull off
[22:42] Lucas: smoked a cigarette and got out to see if he'd clipped my bumper
[22:42] Lucas: I really, really don't know how he didn't hit me
[22:43] Lucas: he ended up facing the way I was going
[22:43] Lucas: I'd say when he passed my door, he was pointed right at me

I would say yes they were both totaled, they looked jacked up on the flatbed. Sorry to hear about this guys/ just glad yall werent seriously hurt.

 

It's a shame that the wrecks happened.


The parties rawked and the events were great! Next year moar peeps need to be there!! We Z lovers shall take over!!!

 

Dang. Lucky no one was hurt this year. People tend to outdrive their ability it seems. If you are out of your lane your at fault.

 

i saw that 300zx come around parson's curve (4 mi til the border) hauling nuts, not sideways that time tho, but heard him sideways the next 2 turns down

was good that they didnt get hurt, me and ke0ki2k seriously had the dragon completely clear minus a suv cop :-D. i was in a black miata and if u saw me on the gap whichever passenger i had was probly hands out the top yelling lol. the line at the bottom was HUGE lol. that saturday was the busiest ive ever seen the dragon over the 7 years ive been going

 

Honestly, there didn't seem to be near as many people this year as there were last. The vibe of the whole event was not as energetic as last year either. Probably because the rain/humidity put a damper (no pun intended) on things Friday. Oh well, let's hope next year will be sunny for the whole event.

 

BTW, I've got a vid of me tagging along (for a few seconds, anyway) with the GTR on hwy 28. I'll get it posted sometime today.
