I have been getting hassled all day about the lack of the TSD, last year we only had 30 teams do it, so I didn't think anyone would miss it. Guess I was wrong, lemme look closer and see if I can slide it in somewhere.

Don't go out of your way. I know whatever you guys have planned will be fun & I know you'll be strapped planning stuff between then & now.

I'm polling the sponsors now to see who's toes I can step on and let me double book events, so we can get you the TSd again. I know many of you wanted to do both the car show and TSD, so I'm trying to stay off of saturday if possible.
^^ Agreed. Please keep the TSD or some kind of Poker Run. Perhaps this could be done on Friday during the kornhole contest. The photo scavenger hunt was a great idea.
It's a shame to break tradition and not have the Drop Top Cruise. I think there are enough roads in the area to still do this.
A couple of suggestions for the future:
> Back roads cruise to Cades Cove (the newly paved road should be open by then)
> Pidgeon Forge (perhaps a go cart competition or visit the Auto Museum)
> A day time run to Biltmore and back.
Thanks for all the great hard work and I look forward to attending!

^^I am still hopeful. Even so, this road is still open.

TDOT continues to work with agencies and interested parties in Tennessee and North Carolina regarding the closure of a stretch of U.S. 129/SR-115 between the slide and the North Carolina state line known as “The Dragon.” TDOT is working to determine an amicable solution for both businesses and emergency needs and is hopeful that some arrangement can be reached whereby portions of the route can be reopened. At this time, however, detours remain in place from the slide area to the NC state line.
