You are good in my book, thanx for serving. I did my time in uncle Sam's family and I don't regret it. The bailing comment was directed at you, you haz orders to be where you are, other folks don't haz orders

I'd say just a little over 4 hours.... a time worthy of traveling to join in on the Zdayz fun!

It would be pretty awesome to do a 2 or 3 lap time attack to see how we all stack up

(just a single car on the track at a time obviously)

We could have a top 25 time attack list just like the top 25 drag list

we could, but I doubt 25 people's cars meet the minimum requirements we require for a time trial/attack.

for 2011 we will require a head and neck restraint
4 point roll bar with SFI padding
SA2005 or newer helmet
5 point of better SFI rated harnesses and proper routing
fire suppression system (extinguisher is minimum requirement)
plus tech
plus transponders

my suggestion is that we drag people down there with us to time us, "unofficial" of course.

I can only think of 4 cars I know of at zdayz that fit that bill:
Sharif's GTR (forged)
Ryan's EVO (forged)
My 350Z
Graham's G35

But if we had 10+ cars that met the muster, we could possibly slide it in, all 10 on track together for a half session.

I doubt I'll be able to pull that off in time with my z, but I'd at least beg for a spot in someone's passenger seat.

not yet, I would like to have one, perhaps after this winter and I have enough time to finish my dastardly plans. I need a swirl pot more than a fuel cell at this point, to prevent starvation.

The posts in this page have made me realize how far my car is from "that" status.

It really is. The bar gets set higher & higher, too.

Right now, I'd be happy with a moving Z.

"That" also depends on where you draw your own personal line between "car" and "science project".

I wimp-out at the weight-saving step because of interior aesthetics. (weaksauce, I know)

One day, it decided to turn into a smoke machine & leave dead dinosaur all over the interstate. I was planning to build the engine anyway, so it wasn't a huge deal. I just kind of miss driving it.

Hahah I know what you mean. I messed up by not having a focus like Brian or some of the aforementioned guys. I was kind of like, "Ooo turbo, do want." "Oo nice seats, buy."

I wish I could go back in time to when I first bought the car & have made a plan as to what I wanted the car to become, rather than having a nice Z with a bunch of nice stuff but won't really fit into any class for a track event. After my build is done, I'm hoping to make over 550WHP (race gas tune-- will probably run conservatively on pump fuel), but I don't want to do drag racing or be a trailer queen.

Just to put folks in the mood for ZdayZ since winter is coming.

I posted this in the NorthCentral Threads. It was the Michigan caravan meeting up with a ton of cars in Lexington, KY and heading in. Working on Part 2.

(Sorry for poor filming and editing. Not a 'puter geek and it was tough to film and drive at the same time. Thanks to all the Michigan guys who donated video.)

More to come. Part 1 only goes up to the TSD on Friday morning.

EDIT: Part 2 Added

Looks like we can all bring grape drank to ZDAYZ 2011:

They stole Greg's drink idea. It's purple and has the name DRANK!!!

http://www.drankbeverage.com/

Suppose to relax you, not sure we want to be all relaxed at ZDAYZ
