We folks, we are ramping up for ZdayZ 2012. I thought I would go ahead and start the thread this year a little bit early.

We still have a lot to do, but so far what we have locked down:
Thursday May 17th, some sort of Motorsport Activity, unsure yet if it will be AMP or the return of the Top Dawg Airstrip event.

Thursday Night, ZdayZ trivia. Since this will be our Ninth year of the event, we thought we would see how many people stayed sober each year and could remember stuff . Seriously though, the trivia questions are all Datsun, Nissan, Infiniti, ZdayZ, or Fontana related. Expect some decent prizes for this too.

The Exhaust Soundoff Competition has become a staple event. If you have been in th epast you know why, but if you haven't here's the dealio. You get to revup and drive off, a crowd of your peers judges you from 1-10 with 5 judges and the score is counted. The highest score wins and the lowest score also wins (well sort of). To be blunt, it is a rough crowd that gives the Ferrari the worst sounding exhaust award!

The Car show will return to ZdayZ again for 2012, again it will be people's choice. OK folks here is where it gets nit picky from me. If you want more awards, i.e. 3 rd place plaques, special categories, more break outs, etc... I will be happy to do this, but it must be reflected in the pre-registration and car show sign-up. I have to order plaques ~20 days prior to the event, if I have two 240Zs in the car show, then I order 1 plaque. if there are 20 cars in a category, we might split it further, it all depends on the numbers. To be transparent about this:
1-3 cars = 1 plaque
4-6 cars = 2 plaques
7+ cars = 3 plaques
15+ cars = we'll figure something out
generally we go by chassis code for classing:
S30 (240Z, 260Z, 280Z)
S130 (280ZX)
Z31 (300xz)
Z32 (300zx)
Z33 (duhuh)
Z34 (370Z)
R35 (GT-R)
V chassis (G35/G37)
Other
I can break these out further if the pre-reg supports it. the easiest split is the V Chassis, followed by the S30, but we can get creative, we like getitng creative

We are still waiting for sponsor commitments and ideas to congeal for the rest of the details, but hey its not even Halloween yet

Speaking about that 7' co-pilot... his wife tells him that they are gonna have a baby and during the first conversation about this he pauses and asks when will it be due since it "can't fall around mid-May due to ZdayZ"... This is the determination we have for attending ZdayZ every year. First baby's births are number 2.

is there a group rate for the rooms for Zdayz at fontana? i know we got some sort of discount last year but has it been set for this year yet?
