Are you able to get the SSR GT3's? Tirerack seems to be the only distributor that i know of.

The GT3's are discontinued and no longer made by SSR. Tire rack can get them because they bought up all the remaining stock of them. We go direct through SSR Japan, so since SSR no longer makes hte rim we can not get it

Can someone explain the 1st row of numbers here under the OFFSET header

http://www.speedstar.co.jp/collectio...ec/spec_19.htm

The 34, 46, 59, 72mm.

Also what super low disk, normal disk, medium disk, and hyper disk are? Based on what the offsets are doing, this seems to mean more lip, but is there more to it?

Finally, anyone know what an 18x8.5 or so Professor wheel weighs?

Thanks,

Mark

The numbers mean how big of a lip, for instance a 72mm lip as opposed to a 34mm lip. The low disk and hyper disk refers to if the rim is ahigh pad wheel or not, meaning how far the spokes are pushed out t oacomodate big brakes. Hihg pad rims have smaller lips.

Thanks,

Some of that makes sense. One thing that is not clear. Is it the Super Low Disk, or the Hyper Disk, that would better accomodate large calipers?

And the thing that I dont see being true is the last sentance, which states that high pad rims have smaller lips. From the chart, lip size is not affected by the disk type. As you can see from the chart, for a give lip size, ALL disk types are available, and lip size is always constant. Correct? Maybe it will somehow appear smaller becuase the spokes are being pushed closer to the outside edge of the wheel, but I think technically, the lip is still the same size.

Do we specify all of these variables when ordering, and how do we know which disk we need. Are there any pics of the different disks?

edit: just noticed offset changes with disk type, so we dont actually select disk type. We select by best offset, which determines disk type.

Thanks,

Mark

Also, do you have access to tires? Could I order heat cycled Yokohama AO32 soft compound tires on the 17 inch Type C's and have them delivered for one low price?

Thanks.
