Those look almost the same as the Kinetix Cats. I'm assuming there's not much of a difference.

No more the RT defending - You now carry the best. GOOD FOR YOU!

No, these aren't the same as Kinetix. These actually fit with no issues. A real quality product.

Did you stop carrying the RT cats? And can I order these with wideband o2 bungs?

Plenty of differences!

Crawford can build you a set of cats with this option specifically. Performance is only stocking the cats with a bung for your factory O2 sensor.

... Hope I didn't hijack the thread Jason, just keeping the people informed!

We just couldn't put up with the screwed up customer service Random Tech gave our customers. We sell "sold" hundreds of cats as they are such a great improvement... but we also need a company that is there for our customers "in case" of any problems. As we looked for a new supplier, Crawford was the only one that seemed to be a fit for us. A VERY high quality product with great customer service!!!!

Even though the RT Cats were smog certified they WILL NOT pass inspection.. but they will pass the sniffer...

The 350z / G35 / FX35 is suposed to have 4 cats. Putting on these cats / RT / Kenetix / or any other "high flow" cats are only 2 cats (one per side).

We have had customer with RT's and other cats get called for a vehicle check and DID NOT pass the inspection because "Vehicle only had 2 cats"

Do these give a raspy sound to the Nismo exhaust like the RT cats or test pipes do?

No because they do not flow as much as RT's or Test Pipes...

But they will be louder then the stock set up

In my experience, they do give a raspy exhaust sound, even with the stock muffler when you give it gas from 2500-3000 rpm; however, the raspiness disappears after the CATS are warmed up.

I used to think both Crawford and ourselves used the same catalytic converters, but I think I am wrong.

We use the magnaflow/carsound converters. What type of converters are these?

Maybe the sound varies from car to car with different modifications....or maybe the definition of "raspy" varies from driver to driver, but I have no raspiness (my definition, anyway)with my Crawford cats / Crawford headers / Nismo exhaust. I installed the Nismo exhaust first (beautiful throaty sound) and after adding the headers & cats a month later the throaty sound was still there - just LOUDER - ha! Especially at WOT.........

I beleive crawford uses walker cats, I think this was from doug himself but I could be wrong, I'm pretty sure I'm right.

Yes, it's Walker CATS for Crawford's. I believe you're right.

I bought the RT's originally from Performance... The RT's failed and I bought the Crawfords. I couldn't be any happier and wish I had gone this route in the first place.

No raspy note, no fitment issues and I can not feel a loss in power from the RT's.

Any extra cost for the additional bungs, the reason I want them is for when I dyno. It would be nice to have a set of pre cat o2 bungs so the shop can just hook up the wideband to them. That is the best way to get a good o2 reading, right?
