Very true, Z32 is awesome block and tranny wise but my main reasoning is that TT on a V6 is just rough, room wise and everything, plus I like gettin er done with 4 cyl, its a lot easier to build and theres just amazing respect when you line up to a V8 with half the cylinders and hand it a new one. People that say "Theres no replacement for displacement" havnt stumbled upon the snail yet lol.

Very true (about your replacement for displacement), however, we Z32-ers get the same kind of looks from domestics and V8 or V10 guys as well. Especially when most guys on stock turbos run 11s 1/4s, with the upgraded turbo guys running 9s, 10s, and traps of 130-140! =)

 

300ZX guys run 11's on stock snails? Wow I didnt know that, I remember seeing a guy in a 300ZX with some JWT TT upgrade claiming 450whp running 12.1 @ 118 on slicks, he was doin decent, hitting 1.7 60ft's....guess he was slow for his setup?

 

Follow what you preach. You always talk about how people claim they can do this and do that but dont back it up. Well you havent backed up squat. You have yet to beat a Z06 but claim you can. You dont have nothing to prove to me. You've proven urself before with ur n/a setup and with ur TN setup (kinda - blew it up).

Yep a guy here at bradenton motorsports ran 11.7?? at I think 119 on stock snails. He had the record for a little while but I dont know if he is current record holder, he owns like 3 or 4 Z im lookin to get a Z32 off of him and either do a SR20 or KA24 full race build.

 

If I had 525whp @13psi I'm confident I'd walk on a C6 Z06, high boost forget about it. It's a given Berto would kill a Z06.

Well, he has provided a dyno and he did attempt to get a timeslip but his tranny blew so I don't exactly see how he's not backing up anything.

Yes, he was slow for his set-up IMO. I ran 11.7@121mph with that HP two years ago with a 1.9 60'. Most of the stock-turbod Z32s with bolt-ons (real bolt-ons like intake, ECU, exhaust) run solid 12s around 110-113mph.

There is one outlier that I know of, who runs consistent mid-11s around 120 on his stock turbo set-up, however, most of the 11s stock-snailed guys are high 11s. Here are a few slips:
