The NA Z32 was relased in the spring of '89. That fall the TT Z32 was introduced. Both were released as 1990 models.

Other than that the show is fun to watch.
actually, the 300zx Z32 came out in 1989 on the otherside of the world, so clarkson is technically correct in his description.

turismo is correct

tytalian is incorrect, at least in europe/japan

Introduced for 1990 model year and built for US through 1996 model year. Probably mid to late 89 when it actually appeared.

The Z32 was released at the end of 1988 as a 1989 model in Japan.

Stock the 300ZX TT did around 5.4 0-60 and a 13.8 1/4. I'd say its a little quicker then the 03-06 but the 07s should be a faster car...

the 1996 300zx had OBDII which made the car 20 hp less so instead of 300hp it was 280 but the 1990 through 95 all had 300hp the 93 motor was the strongest year built ..stock 300zx 90-95 run high 12 to low 13 i know for a fact because i have 1 and also my friend has TT..run a 93tt it would be a good race

if you want a real real tiff is really the only person i respect that and i do give major props to fifth gear. Top gear is becoming a little to biased on there expecations , i mean its all opinionative. But some of his comments where really obsured about the Z. Seriously.

The ZX is actually a good race, but i mean on a road course stock for stock...the ZX stands no chance. I love them because its a amazing heritage but i used to see them struggle to keep up in the snake turns at pocono compared to a new Z. ANd boy does HICAS suck. lol I actually prefer hicas disabled i can see no point in having such a retarded system for racing. I guess for the every day joe its worth it on the streets. But on the track its worse then VDC.

One thing with the 300ZX though it doesnt take much to preety much wipe the floor with even a 07 HR ....NA is great but boost is of course pound for pound the winner

Jason Plato is a serious racer too, so while I give more props to the Fifth Gear guys, honestly their new format sucks. Top Gear is always about opinion, not too much on the facts, so I don't know why people are complaining that Clarkson is talking smack about the Z. Everyone's entitled to their opinions.

anyone with a brain who watches Top Gear should know by now that alot of that stuff is staged and full of half-truths.
