Default Drive from Tacoma to Salt Lake City and back

I have been way too busy to login for a quite a while. However, I had a business meeting in SLC and rather than deal with the hassle of airports, I decided to drive. 13 hours to get there, only 12 to get back. 876 miles.

Two time-lapse videos. The first was the drive there. I used a GoPro HD camera set to capture a shot every 5 seconds. It ended up being a bit jerky. On the way home I set it for every 2 seconds, which gave better results but my 16gb card filled up with just over 300 miles to go.

Found that when the sun hits the GPS, the camera didn't pick it up. For the return trip, I blurred out the speed reading on the GPS to protect my reputation. I didn't really want to share the three figure speed values with the entire world.

Turn up the volume and enjoy... here are the links to the HD versions.

My story is that all the cars that passed me just happened to do it during the 2 or 5 seconds between shots. Yup, that's what happened.

That rock chip was repaired, but you can still see it. Really annoying, but not enough to spring for a new windshield.
