**Vinny Ten Calls Out Fake Shops, Fd Up Cars & Fustrated Tuners!
Also, I'm curious about the 15 shops he approached for the event. I feel like that has to be a pretty reputable list, but know of at least 2 in the tri-state area, JDS and R/T Tuning, that I've heard only great things about. Having experience with both shops, I give them great praise, too.
Guy is wise man. He tells it like it is.
If I had seen that in 2007 things would be different for me without a doubt.
Don't regret my modding but I do regret some paths. Live and learn.
New guys pay attention. This is a gem.

+1 to Alberto, I have known Vinny before I was racing the 350z platform. He knows everyone from the underground scene all the way to the Pros. The man gives everything, and has never disrespected anyone ever! The issue is the quality of work on this platform has plagued this community and has given most shops a very bad name. Some shops deserve it and others are grouped together and guilty by association. Vinny is trying to set the record straight and let the community know this platform and others can be flawless when done the correct way.
To all the new comers and veterans, come see Vinny and some of the GOOD shops out this Sept 23rd at Atco Raceway. Some of the fastest Nissans and Infinitys will be going head to head to see who will hold the crown!

I'll be the first to admit I was young and made some iffy decisions. I pay for them every day I walk past my car and cant drive it.
I learned my lesson and turned into a grumpy a-hole along the way trying to help others. Eventually I just gave up.
I'd love to be on a track against some of his VQ street cars.

He's right that most customers have no clue what they want. They see things they like on the internet and then buy them without any real idea of idea of how/when/why they will use them.
Case in point: The recent rash of NOOB 5AT guys who didn't adequately research or budget for the necessary mods to the auto trans before they went FI or purchased a turbo kit. There's been a bunch of 5AT related threads & posts lately in the FI section and none of these guys have the money for a fully built auto trans.

I don't have time to drive to NJ just to see some guys run. Going to the track when not driving something is bittersweet for me.
