On the HR that's only really the case when going into 2nd and not even a bother with the 4.083 gears. going from 1st to 2nd you drop down to 4600 rpm, 2nd to 3rd puts you at 5300 which is right at the start of the kick *** 07 top end. The rest of the shifts you lose about 1500-1600rpms putting you in the meat of the juicy pull, bwhaha.

You should come down to like portland/vancouver and take my car for a spin. I sometimes do miss being able to downshift to 2nd at 55 and nailing it... until I ease into the throttle and feel how much stronger the car is

 

^ 2nd and somewhat of third, and 3rd is as far as i get at the drag strip with the stock gears, which i have no intentions of changing

i don't konw, portland is pretty far just to take a spin in a car, but then again, i do wanna try out those 4.083 gears

 

I was always shifting into 4th right before the end. Would of bounced rev limiter in 3rd if I hadn't.

I drove 4 hours to get wasted with old friends, then drove back 24 hours after I came up. lol

 

oh yeah, i forgot, show's how long its been since i was at the track

 

The HR makes full horsepower at 6400 rpm. . .i've always had better grip and better 1/4 times when shifting at 6400. . .anytime i went past 6400 it just spun halfway through 2nd. . .unless you let off the gas, shift, back on the gas. . .but you would still be losing precious seconds. . .

 

you shift at 6400 into second? Odd, I feel the car is much faster shifting at 7500rpm... a little wheel spin into second but much harder too.
