The Test-Pipes on the Nismo car are protypes - they do not have the CEL modification. He was kind enough to help us out by lending us his car for R&D. Eventually, when we get his car back in here, we'll add the CEL mod to his Test-Pipes and turn the CEL light off.

ALL Final Production model Test-Pipes include the CEL modification. And thus far, we've had Absolutely NO CEL problems with the CEL J-Pipe modification.

Also, with the AAM 3" single exit exhaust, the test-pipes produce no rasp. I've not heard them on much else. The Nismo car has a Nismo rear section, so that may account for some of the minor rasp. I should have sound clips and a dyno sheets for the High-Flow cats by mid week.

Ill wait until I see it myself. Dont wantto invest another few hundred on test pipes thatwill throw a CEL light...If you guys can guarantee that it will not throw a CEL light then I will be atyour doorsteps to pick one up myself.

Still getting a CEL every 1200 miles or so? My Z hasn't tossed one since the one time it did (if that makes sense). There's no guarantee that the AAM ones won't throw a CEL. Test pipes are test pipes (plus they'll probably rasp if they're not resonated and not matched to their exhaust).

You can see the "fix" in the pics (the long tube coming off the pipes). No test pipe is 100% gaurunteed to work, but this has more of a chance than most.

You actually get time between CEL's? ****, don't know what you're complaining about then. Everytime I clear mine it only stays cleared for the first time I start my car afterwards. The next time I start it up, it's back.

Well, everyone, after awhile of no CEL, it finally appeared on one of our customers cars. I wish we could gaurantee no CEL problems for a great high-flowing mod like test-pipes, but like VitViper said,

Zladie, the first dyno graph shows the gains with the test pipes on a base car. Depening on run conditions and current mods, expect about 9-15 midrange hp and tq and about 5-8 peak. I'll have new graphs for the High-Flow cats up sometime tomorrow.

I'd assume that realistically, the test pipe, y pipe, rear combo would yield a good 10-12 peak whp. Being that the test pipe alone made 8 at peak and the catback made about 6. The midrange looks to be even more impressive.
Any new release deals or group buys on the test pipe back full system? What's the weight of the system? I assume much lighter than stock and lighter than a true dual system? Which leads me to my next questions....would the true duals perform better than this y pipe to a single 3"? Is the piping ID 3"?
