Default 07 Clutch Question (yes I did a search)

I have read the various threads on the 07 Clutch sticking issue. Here is what is not clear to me from those threads.

When people have had their slave cylinders replaced with the revised part, what is the success ratio?

This has only been a minor problem for me, and improved for a while after replacing the fluid with Motul 600, so I am trying to determine whether I should have the slave cylinder replaced on not. At this point, I am still not convinced the problem is the slave cylinder, and my car seems to have a mild issue compared to others that I have read about.

Thanks in advance for the input.

I had my entire clutch assembly replaced in Sept-Oct and it's been great since. No issues at all. So that is a +1 for me.

Is this more of a problem with earlier 07s? As in, did the cars come from the factory with the revised part at a later date? I've read through some of the threads regarding the issue, and seems like most people experiencing the problem seem to notice it between 3000-7000 miles. Is it a specific driving pattern that causes it, like hard launches?

I am not sure if this was just on earlier 07's are not. I got my in early Feb 07. My clutch has stuck twice, both during track events (road course). After the first time, I changed the fluid to Motul 600 and it did not stick in the next event, but did in the one after that. I have read that many are sticking on hard launches, but some are sticking even during highway driving and driving in traffic. So, there seems to be degrees of the problem.

I got mine in late Aug 07, coming up on about 7k miles now, and haven't had any clutch issues. I've done 3 autocross events in it, but never launched above 3000 rpm.

The only time I have had the sticking problem is on road courses, down shifting from fourth to third.

I started off having the problem only when driving hard but now its all the time so I am beginning to think that if your car has the problem, its only a matter of time before it gets worse. I will take it to the dealer tomorrow and hopefully it will be fixed permanently but we will see I guess.

Mine went out for the first time doing my second set of 1/4 runs. From then on it happens in traffic alot. The constant in and out of the clutch I guess. My 3month service is this week so ill see what happens. I hear they redesigned the 08 tranny, is that true?

I do not think the transmission was revised again for '08 model year.

Several poeple have emailed me or replied here that they had the slave cylinder replaced with the revised part number and have not had any issues. I have the "revised" part number of the slave cylinder used on there cars and have confirmed that same part number with my dealership. I am scheduel to have the work done a week from Friday. I left the revised part number at work, but will post it here when I get remember to bring it home. It is also listed in one of the other threads on this issue.

I stand corrected... Nissan has issued a new part (ends w/ a c instead of an A), so there is an update in the clutch slave cylinder...

The revised part number is:

3061A1-JK40(c) - CYL- Assy - Cone

(I think the "Cone" part is right. Having a hard time reading my writing).

The previous part number was the same except the "(C)" was an "(A)".

Several people you have had the revised slave installed have email me and told me it fixed the problem. So, my fingers are crossed.
