You'll get more power from the high flows. But it really depends on whether you're shooting for power or looks. For looks, go with the intakes. It'll still make some power, but not near as much as getting rid of the stock cats.

go with HFCs, or even test pipes. Test pipes are cheaper and will give you the most gains. You'll have some left over money to go towards buying intakes too.

Yea but if your looking out for the one day a year inspection without having to take the test pipes on and off then you want hfc.. That's the only reason I'm getting hfc.. The power diff isn't reaaaally noticeble.. Intakes save till after you did all your exhaust piping. That's truly only when the intake will be useful. On it's own its lyk w.e cuz ours is good.

Or make some shady connections at the inspection station and say fawk the inspection and get the Test Pipes.

If you ever want to go boosted I say go with TPs. On my old DSM I started with a 3" HFC, and when I switched to a TP the car made 21 more HP than on the 3" HFC (boost was set at 22psi).

I purchased the Berks HFC's and a HKS dual exhaust..should be a good combo. I also went with the JWT Dual intake..although i heard the oem intakes were just as good as aftermarkets.

HFC's shouldnt make your CEL come on, but im not an expert..anyone care to elaborate?

HFC should not trigger the CEL since they're still cats in there.

OEM intakes are NOT just as good as aftermarket ones... just that there's not too much improvement over the stockers. Intakes still make power, just not as much as exhaust pieces.

The JWT's are the best performing on the market (if we go by '03-'06 standards). I'd imagine it would be the same with the HR's.

And they sound SO ****ing sweet. Much better than the Injen CAI I had on my Z.

HFC are a waste of money.
