Default Greddy TT Kit in ImportTuner

Well I am not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but I was at WalMart and found the April 08 issues of ImportTuner and read a section on the new GReddy TT kit for the HR motor. It says the kit makes 400rwhp @ 5.5psi using no intercooler and everything is stock down to the exhaust... Pretty damn good if you ask me.

Well considering no one will have the kit for some time yet, most people are going to take this as a good preview from a reputable magazine...

Thumbs up

Cool!

I would be happy with their conservative boost setting at 5.5 psi. It says that should give 90 horsepower.

Price for turbo kit with intercooler: $8,524

That's just the parts. Now you need to install them and tune the engine. It's going to cost a few grand to have it done. You're probably going to want an upgraded clutch too if you have a MT. The stock clutch is borderline for the stock power output, imo.

The 90 HP setup is $6,689 (without intercooler, free-flowing exhaust, upgraded fuel pump, etc..)

The $8,524 setup adds 150 HP and intercooler, etc.. included.

Wow, about time the first kit comes out. Too bad I swore not to mod my Z any further - saving to buy a house and waiting for the 370Z.

No way. I know that the $6,689 price is with only the turbo kit. The additional $1,835 is for the intercooler only. And I hope you know that the intercooler by itself is not going to add 150hp.

I seriously doubt you get the free-flowing exhaust and upgraded fuel system, etc.. all for $1,835? No way.

That's what the article says... read it.

Edit: ok, maybe I misread it. That might be just for the intercooler. But the 90 HP setup is only $6,689. The intercooler seems to add the extra $1,835. The rest probably adds more.

This is also with the stock restrictive exhaust, mate up an AAM, greddy tt, or any other large exhaust and you should make making a considerable more amount of hp. I just can not wait for a headgasket kit to come out to lower the compression and make use of the better internals in these motors, up the boost and add supporting mods!
