Default 07 Test Pipe install - question

Im almost done installing test pipes. No matter what i do, i just cant get the driver side top bolt off. there isnt enough clearance for the breaker bar because of the steering shaft. i tried going through the engine bay, the side, the top of the trans, but nothing is working.

does anyone have any suggestions? im getting really frustrated.

Get creative with various extensions and swivel joints.

I had mine done at a local performance shop, so I can't say I personally did the install. I do know that they just used a bunch of extenders to get to that one impossible bolt though.

when i installed my test pipes we just used alot of extensions and removed it from inside the engine bay, not underneath. it may be different on an 07', since mines an 04'

I remember I had the same problem. that last one on the driver side was a beeeeeyotch. We broke 2 swivels trying to get it off and ended up having to burn it off with an acetylene torch. If I remember correctly someone else told me they took off the steering link to get it off. Not my personal experience tho. I know for us tho it wouldnt even come off with an impact gungood luck man.

Definitely go from the top with extensions. It is a tight fit, right against the steering shaft. Take the airboxes out. Try flex extensions, different length sockets, different angles, you should be able to get it off. I ended up snapping the bolt on the passenger side. The driver side came off just short of breaking.

Remember to use some anti-sieze on the new bolts for when you need to go back in there.

thanks for all the help guys. Im gonna try it tonight from the top and see if it comes loose. If not, tomorrow, i will go buy a torch and just burn it off.. seems like that would be much easier. the thing is that steering shaft is just RIGHT in the way whichever way i seem to go. I will just put on some music and be patient till i get it off.
again, thanks for all the help.
